I think you are right about having four seasons and being able to appreciate the beauty of each. I was just saying to someone the other day that you can look out my living room window and not know whether it is summer or winter! It all looks the same. Thank you for sharing the beauty of your four seasons. I always love seeing them through your eyes.Terri Porterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08575352448469558798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3395338289033622908.post-9238048609128059162013-11-04T09:37:21.475-06:002013-11-04T09:37:21.475-06:00A beautiful photo that captures the essence of the...A beautiful photo that captures the essence of the season, and I'm grateful that you've used my words to illustrate it. If it's not inappropriate, I'd like to mention that the quote you've displayed -- “Autumn begins with a subtle change in the light, with skies a deeper blue…” – is from my and Glenn Wolff's book, It’s Raining Frogs and Fishes: Four Seasons of Natural Phenomena and Oddities of the Sky, which, coincidentally, has just been released in a newly updated edition. Feel free to quote it at will, in all seasons. And check out Glenn's illustrations -- they're stunning. Thanks! I find myself thinking that mid to low 70s on a regular basis would be just my calling - but then I remember snow days, and sweater weather in the Autumn. I won't complain if the hot Hot HOT summer stretches were a little less - but having them makes me appreciate the cooler days all the more.Nickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17236806773789677957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3395338289033622908.post-92163158880980467012013-11-04T08:11:35.485-06:002013-11-04T08:11:35.485-06:00Well I didn't think I would ever say this, but...Well I didn't think I would ever say this, but after living in Florida for 10 years...I am missing the seasons bad! This weekend, I bought something called a woods chandelier... hard to explain what it is, but it looks like a bunch of sticks tied together with tiny lights hanging down looking like a wonderful winter chandelier. Took me right in to the meditative feel of winter. Those cozy mornings when you can light your candle, read your morning meditation, and enjoy looking out on the cold landscape. Love your shot here of Jack Frost! So much we have to be grateful for!
