It is grief and mourning. I can feel it coming like a black cloud when it happens to me. And I don't leave the house either. I won't even get dressed, I'll just stay in my pjs and feel sorry for myself for awhile. But don't let it take over your life for too long. Acknowledge it and then kick it the heck out :). My husband has Dementia, and sometimes he'll be okay for weeks at a time, and then I fall into that forgetfulness. Once something happens to remind me of this ugly disease, whether it's something that he does that reminds me, or a memory of the way things used to be...I get sad. I actually think that it is part of the grief. Either way your advice to get out of the house and do something fun, is great advice. Meanwhile I am so glad to have found you and your lovely blog. I'm sending blessings and thanks, I need your words today.<br />KarenAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01487481759201796912noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3395338289033622908.post-85947933847726296892012-01-30T03:10:30.908-06:002012-01-30T03:10:30.908-06:00Things have a way of creeping up on you without yo...Things have a way of creeping up on you without you realising and suddenly bang. I've been in a similar place a few times so sort of know how you're feeling but don't get too uptight about it as it will pass, we are all allowed to get a bit low sometimes. I find if I take a walk somewhere nice it helps, I can feel all the bad stuff lifting and come home feeling better. I try to remember that it is my mind and thoughts that create my emotions, so I try to think/do something else. That cup is so pretty - I've just discovered Lady Grey tea which I love, have you tried it? Lovely. I think the only time it starts to become a problem is when it's continuous and starts to drastically affect your life. Maybe you just need a little time to yourself and then once you reconnect with people, like tomorrow at Bunco, you'll be back to your old self.
