Little Seeds of Poetry

I know I have already posted one today, but...but....but I am leaving tomorrow for a week in Phoenix, AZ and I am not sure how much access to the internet I will have or if I will even have time to post.  I am visiting friends that are doers and goers, all kinds of plans are in the works, and I am meeting up with 2 ladies I have met thru this great world of photography on-line.  One lives in Phoenix and one lives in Tucson so on Thursday we are meeting and spending the day doing what all 3 of us love....photography.  My eyes are going to be on over-load with all the beauty coming my way....so thus the two posts today. But you betcha I will post all new pics as soon as I can upload and post.  Heaven...I'm in Heaven, can ya hear me singin'?

As I was hustling around doing last minute chores  I was ready to throw out the tulips....they are definitely on the "can't hold their little heads up" any longer stage when I noticed the little black seeds that had gathered in the folds of the petals.  If I was a poet I would have sat right down and written a poem, they look like poetry.  Instead I took it's picture and am sharing with Lisa over at The Creative Exchange.

Hope your eyes find poetry in an image today!!

Until next time....

  2. I second your thoughts on capturing something most would think ugly. I find beauty in your "used-up" tulips. There's a metaphor in there somewhere.... :) Enjoy your trip.

I love this tulip. They are beautiful even once they have passed their prime.

  10. Hi Deanna,
Your photographs are stunning as always. I was just reading Terri's post on FOL and I glanced over and saw your pretty face. I thought, I wonder what treasure Deanna has on her blog today, and I wasn't disappointed. Wishing you a wonderful time. No wonder you are in heaven, and yes I can hear the tune! You get to fly away, a favorite of mine...you ge to be with girlfriends, another favorite of mine...and you get to take photographs and maybe do a little shopping of course. Magic!

  14. I hope you're having a wonderful time, Deanna! I hear the weather has been pretty nice there this week. My sister and her husband flew to Phoenix on Monday to visit my parents, who have been there for the past two months. Wish I was there, but instead I'm sitting here in all this snow :) I can't wait to see all the photos you're taking :)
