The sun is shining, the birds are singing, there is just a slight breeze and the temperature gauge says 60 degrees, so after I dropped Toby off at the "beauty shop" and boy, did he need to go, he looked like a rag, I drove to the Arboretum to hunt for Spring. After first stopping at the small dining area to get another cup of coffee and a chocolate muffin (does that not sound yummy, and it was) I was off. Sure did not have to drive very far to find what I was looking for. There were very few trees that had sprotted leaves yet, but there were some that were ready to burst. A couple of more days like today and it will be full-blown-out Spring here which is highly unusual. We are having late April/May weather, just hoping we don't get a bad freeze or snowstorm which will halt everything. Right now I have the back-door open and I can hear the birds chirping. As I was walking thru the Arboretum this morning, not only was it beginning to look like Spring, it smelled like Spring. I can't describe it, but you know what I mean. Alive is a good descriptive word...that's it, everything smelled alive.
What says Spring more than Bees and Robins
And Toby after his trip to the beauty shop....looks like a different dog. June was the last time I took him to the groomers, no wonder he was looking like a rag. Shame on me. My daughter threatened that she wouldn't keep him anymore until I had him groomed and since I am off to Galveston, TX in less than a month, thought I should follow her instructions.
Hope your days are like Spring....sunny with a few blooms.
