- Hmm wonder who will win Dancing With The Stars tonight? I haven't watched last night's episode due to it being Bunco night and it was way too late to watch when I got home. Should have, couldn't settle down and sleep. I have a hard enough time with trying to sleep and with a Bunco stimulation it just enhances the journey of a sleepless night. Too much food, too much sugar, too much fun to calm this body into sleeping. Anyway...back to DWTS...my guess is that it will be Melissa and Tony claiming that god-awful trophy tonight. She is fantastic and Tony is such a nice guy and usually gets voted out early, not because of him, but usually it's his partner. ie: Kate Gosselin. (YIKES!) Altho I really like Shawn & Derek...boy can they dance, wears me out just watching them, such energy, but I must remember they are about 100 years younger than I am.
- Still eating left-over turkey...how about you?? This year I decided to fix a turkey breast instead of a full turkey. Our whole family just likes the white meat so all the dark just goes to waste. We don't take pictures ala Norman Rockwell style, of the bird at the head of the table in all of it's roasted glory....Sam (son-in-law) always carves it in the kitchen and serves it up on a platter at the table. I found this recipe from Danelle, many of you probably follow her photography blog, but she also has a food blog entitled "Let"s Dish I would definitely recommend it...juicy, tender, delicious..
- And once again, I am not going to discuss two more men that rose to glory only to fall flat on their faces by making poor choices....General David Patraeus and Jesse Jackson, Jr. who has resigned from Congress due to poor health, but my guess is because he is being investigated by the FBI while he was in Congress for being in cahoots with our illustrious jailbird ex-govenor Rob Blagojavich in a bribary scheme. We all agreed last night at Bunco that Congress needs to be fired...period.
OK, I have gone from DTWS which sometimes shows too much breast, a recipe to fix a turkey breast, and fallen men who probably have fondled too much breast. Oh where does my mind wander and why??
OK...something lighter, a couple of images that I am turning into cards for this weekend's Art Sale...it's always difficult for me to pick out images for printing, but I really like these two. And since this is the last Texture Tuesday for the year over at Kim Klassen's blog, I wanted to join in. I used two of Kim's lovely textures. The first one is her latest...Xanthe scripted, the second one ?? I forgot.
Hope your mind doesn't wander like mine does...Have a good evening and sleep well.

your triple-breasted focus had me laughing. :)

ReplyDeleteYou just make me giggle, I hope Melissa wins but everyone else seems to think otherwize that I have heard today. I do the same thing with going out at night and can't get to sleep. I just hate going out at night because of not being able to get to sleep. I need my sleep because it makes me grumpy. As far as the politics I usually don't comment on all of this but I agree. So tired of the way our country is run just makes me upset and another reason to not sleep and as I said I NEED my sleep. Your images are beautiful as usual.
ReplyDeleteyour images are gorgeous, lovin' those soft purples!!
ReplyDeletei have to FORCE myself to stay on topic on my blog as i don't want everyone to know how much my mind wonders.
i didn't cook this year but when i do, i always make chicken because we prefer the flavor. one year i mentioned it to my mil and she said she had no idea she had been eating chicken all these years. thus proving she never, ever, helps in the kitchen!!
The first picture is absolutely breathtaking!!!! Amazing!!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow!!!! These are gorgeous. My mom is watching DWTS. I did watch the season Melissa first danced- that was the season she got burned by the bachelor. She's fabulous. Enjoy the show
ReplyDeleteThese will be lovely for cards! Do you sell alot of cards ? Something that i have thought of doing. Would be nice to make something with all of the expenditures that i have made for cameras etc. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you really like these two. The first is made super sensational due to your focus and light - so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBoth pictures are real beauties! Don't you just love where your mind takes you on sleepless night (or just too little sleep)? It sure does make for an entertaining post, though!
ReplyDeleteAs always - I love reading your post - too funny! (not the part about not sleeping, though). I love these two photos - love the purple.
ReplyDeleteA wondering mind, what would we do without them. I don't think we are always supposed to understand what we think or when.
ReplyDeleteThese two pictures will make great cards, Deanna! They are gorgeous!
Hi, Deanna! Popping over here from Camper to say hello and to say thank you for your sweet, clever comment. Just the tonic I needed this evening.
ReplyDeleteAs always ... lovin' your photos!
The images are just enchanting and will make gorgeous cards. I'm passing on the recipe to my hubby as a suggestion for Christmas this year. We're having only the white meat too this year and he's the cook!
ReplyDeleteJust came over from Kim Klassen Cafe. Love your photos, the first one especially, fantastic. Glad to run across a blogger in my age group.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are amazing! I totally had no idea Dancing was still on this season!
ReplyDeleteoh these will be so beautiful as cards deanna!! love the colors and textures. this year is first time i've watched DWTS from start to finish. hate it when my faves go home early. but all these dancers have worked so hard, very difficult to decide who's my fave. :)
ReplyDeleteYep, beautiful card they will make indeed!! Just gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images...love the soft touch of texture
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteHaha, my mind does go to those place sometimes! Maybe too often. Hee! You are so cute. Don't know much about DWTS, but I do agree that Congress needs to be fired. Are there no good men and women left that wish to hold public office? Your photos are so beautifully done, but then the compositions are good to begin with. :)
ReplyDeletebonus points for tying all that together. LOL! Beautiful pictures, wonderful application of texture. I will pop over to Danelle's food blog - just noticed that the other day.
ReplyDeleteYour post has me laughing this morning. And your photo is so pretty. LOVE the editing.
ReplyDeleteHugs~
Reading your posts never fail to make me smile :-))) And your photos - LOVE!!! They are both so stunning, Deanna!

I love how you talk about all different topics!! Girl, I didn't know you played bunco?! Did you ever see my big Bunco party I threw a couple of months ago in October? You must come visit, if you haven't♥ I would of loved to been there at the party discussing the congress...yes, they all need to be fired. Thanks for the smiles today.
