Scavenger Hunt Sunday - The Dec 9, 2012 Edition

Oops missed last week...just too busy, but back on track this week.  I do enjoy these challenges and visiting those that also participate...really fun.  Ashley, I hope you keep this going in the New Year, so many I have participated in are calling it quits for various reasons.  This is how we meet one another...!!  So on with the hunt, this week our challenges are:

  • Season
  • Colorful
  • Weather
  • Silhouette
  • Calm
Went to get my haircut yesterday, and my hairdresser, Laurie was all dressed in her seasonal wear.
Thankfully, I had my camera with me. Love that leopard skin Santa hat with the over-sized holly berries.

Did someone say colorful??  Christmas is all about so much wonderful color, especially reds & greens and candy canes and Christmas bokeh lights and my daily cup.  Oops, looks like Santa was in a hurry to grab a candy cane.

Weather...our weather has been pretty darn boring lately.  No snow, ho hum.  The most interesting weather was a couple of weeks ago when we had that really foggy morn...so another pic from that morning is the best I could do.

Also digging into the archives for this shot of the silhouette palm trees at sunset while in Phoenix.  There were some beautiful sunsets while visiting.

And finally, Toby was calm just long enough for me to snap a couple of pics with his silly Santa hat on. I had to bribe him with treats before he agreed to the photo op.  I got two before he decided enough was enough.

OK...enough is enough.  Get this Santa hat outa my eyes before I tear it to shreds.

So that's it for this week.  Hop on over to Ashley's blog and meet & greet.  So glad you stopped by here.  Also linking up with Madge' for the Weekly Top Shot.  Have a great week and enjoy the holidays.

Until next time.....

  3. Your hairdresser is gorgeous; boy-oh-boy what my mother-in-law wouldn't give for that hat. Your holiday cup filled with candy canes and beautiful bokeh also fills your cup-a-day goal; and getting Toby to don a hat - kudos! Absolute favorite is oddly not holiday inspired, but the most perfect shot of flying geese in fog I've seen - stunning!

I agree and hope Ashley continues with the Scavenger Hunt. I was just thinking yesterday about how I started the year thinking 'One Word' would be a fun challenge - but one topic per month does not keep my attention. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Scavenger Hunt and meeting the many people who participate (present company included).
