Anything Goes....

Today is Kim's Texture Tuesday with an anything goes day.  This is what happens when she says anything goes....

Last night I made a pot of Dunkin Donuts de-caf coffee.  With my sleep issues I try not to drink anything with caffeine past the lunch hour.  I snipped off a couple of poinsettia flowers, the rest was ready to go into the trash and set them in my blue ball jar.  I liked the color combo so grabbed my camera and started snapping away....obviously I had the wrong ISO and the wrong exposure but today I played around in Photoshop and this is what I came up with....Not sure I like either one of them that much, but I had fun trying.  I used one of my fav textures from Kim...Dreamin.  That's all I can tell you on specifics because I just played around with the rest.

Question??  Did anyone watch that new Kevin Bacon TV show last night entitled "The Following"?  Oh man, was that gruesome.  Not sure I am going to continue watching but the premise is sorta fascinating.  One thing is for sure...I will definitely not watch it prior to going to bed, watching it in the mid-afternoon will be far less scarier.

And this is my new mantra until we have some measurable snow in my area....(found this on pinterest...)  I know some of you probably think I am nuts, but I need to see a red barn covered with beautiful white snow...that cures a world of ailments in my book anyway.

Until next time.....

Well, I really like the effect you got with the texture and love how it turned the mug and napkin blue too, well done!

  3. love that - pray for snow. so fun. they are calling for some around here this friday. it is 27 degrees here - it is after 1 pm ... that is wild!! wore gloves, scarf & hat for extra protection from the cold but i feel like i still needed more outwear. it is crazy. i wonder what will happen next with this crazy weather??!

no kidding the Kevin Bacon show was way out there. wild. i think they are always looking for "shock valve" ... the wilder it is the more it shakes folks - what i worry about it that it gives the crazy nuts more ideas of what to do in this real world. i know it will really shake up the animal world - that is cruel. wow, i'm speechless!! what will they come up with next? i'm scared to ask that question??!! 11. We have our share of snow but I have been wanting some ice for icicle pictures. As tempting as a show with KB is, i passed on it this time around. Maybe re-runs.

  20. You are clever, I love what you have done with the textures here and not sure if I would wish for snow as London has ground to a halt! but it's a good mantra

  21. Saw the Today show this morning and was thinking of you. They showed how cold it was there but no snow I think. It's going to be sunny and 68 here today.

I started the new show but turned it off halfway through it. I'm usually into shows like that but it just hit me the wrong way. Won't continue to watch it.

  22. You can have our snow, we so rarely get it we don't know what to do with it.... I must admit I was going to watch The Following but chickened out I love crime and can just about watch Criminal Minds but that looked a bit too much. But I can read anything...

  23. I don't know why I can't remember on Tuesdays to do Kims Textures...sigh!! What I love about this is how you made the aqua color pop instead of the reds...very lovely. Yes, aqua is my very favorite color☺ Yes, it is against my religion too, to drink coffee out of a stryofoam cup..yuck. Have a great day.

  24. Love your edit.

I wish you snow, too. It would be nice to see that barn photo.
I'd like snow here, too....or, anything wet from heaven.

We've recorded the Kevin Bacon show. Haven't watched it yet. Thanks for the warning.

  25. I really really like what you did with your picture today. I always question my technique when it comes to textures, feeling that I make them too heavy. The editing and texture worked beautifully on your picture. :)

  26. I think your edit is absolutely spectacular! I forgot about the Kevin Bacon show - generally like him in stuff. My daughter got me started on BBC Sherlock (watched on Netflix) and wow, do I like it.
