The Berries Are Still Camera Worthy...

Since words are not in abundance right now (and I so appreciate all the encouragement and understanding of my chin dragging, I know this is a common ailment among us at times) and I do believe it is the dreariness of the winter, the no snow, the lack of sunshine all coming together to create a heap of chin dragging.

Today is better, altho there is still no snow, no sunshine, and it is still dreary looking out the window....but there is a slight chance of snow according to the weathermen (cautiously keeping fingers crossed) but they have disappointed me more than once this winter with their predictions...so I guess the chin is still dragging a little.

I was planning on making my way to Trader Joe's to pick up some flowers as many had suggested, but the only steps I made outside today was to pick up the newspaper and grab the mail out of the mailbox.  But I did take some pics of the remains of the red berries that I bought way back a couple of weeks before Christmas...I originally used them for one of the images of my Christmas cards...

The flowers have passed their prime (pretty much dead), the greens have shriveled, but the berries were still camera worthy...

 

There is just something about red berries in a blue mason jar that brings on a smile....!!  How about you, what brings a smile to your face?

And one more leftover from Christmas....this sweet little poinsettia I snapped a pic of last night at one of my friend's home...one of my favorite flowers of the holiday season.
