Every morning when I open my eyes the first thing I see is my Toby....he is usually comfortably sprawled on the pillow next to mine with his rear end facing me....thank goodness he doesn't suffer from....ahem gas or that comfortable sprawl on the pillow would soon be on the uncomfortable floor. As soon as he senses that I am awake, the tail begins to wag and immediately we are face to face. For some reason Toby wants to smell my breath in the morning....Now I don't know about you, but the smell of someone's wake-up breath is not something I want to do first thing in the morn. Love only goes so far. After a brief smell there is always a cough, ya think!? And then a hop out of bed ready for the day. After our morning breath event I look out the window to check out the sun or in the case of March, the lack thereof. And once again this morning, no sun. OK I can tolerate the lack of sun during early March, but sun, you better make a grand appearance by March 20th, the first day of spring or...or...or...well, you just better.
Thank goodness for Birthday flowers.....

Until next time.....
toby sounds like a good sleep buddy. :) i like that first tulip photo! beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow, great art work. Your post about Toby cracks me up, I love the tulips and the heart in the rock too. Where's that? I wonder.
ReplyDeleteOur party is on at:

Please come and join us if you have time. Have a wonderful weekend!
Toby sounds like Simon who does the same thing and I have often wondered "what is your deal"..Oh well, whatever makes them happy.....
ReplyDeleteBoth of your edits of the beach scene are wonderful and very different. I like them for different reasons. The first one with moon and the added colors is appealing and romantic whereas the second one looks like a perfect summer day with the sun shining and the sea gulls flying...It seems both of us had birds on our minds....I also like the crop on the second one....We do have fun playing around with our photographs, don't we?
Have a fun day and I hope your sunshine comes out and surprises you....
so so so gorgeous =)
ReplyDeleteYou just made me smile :-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful Birthday flowers, Deanna, and wonderful processing, too!
Have a great weekend - I do hope the sun shows up!
love your take, it looks like a painting, just wonderful!
ReplyDeletehave a great day.
Beautiful birthday tulips. So if you are birthdayish ... have a happy one.
ReplyDeleteLove, love the first edit with the addition of clouds, moon, and reflection! I also love Helen Keller's quote.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you have Toby to enjoy.
Those tulips are luscious!! Spring colors come forth!! We're all waiting! Your first edit of the beach scene looks like an oil painting and the second one gives a feeling of warmth! Thanks for joining in again this week!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to have flowers that were given instead of "botten." Lol.
ReplyDeleteLovely images and Toby just likes the smell of his mama. :)
These are wonderful! Had to laugh at Toby. Our Olive does a similar thing and she always ends up snorting loudly and wetly in our faces. You gotta love 'em.
ReplyDeleteOh Deanna, both of your edits turned out so lovely! The textures you used added the perfect touch to the photo. I really like the added color and waves in the foreground of the first one, and the beautiful rays and birds in the second one. Thank you for taking the time to edit my photo, and for introducing me to this challenge in your post last week : )
ReplyDeleteP.S. Can you share which textures you used on the photos?
Toby sounds like a sweetie. Your BD flowers are still gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are beautiful and your edits on both flowers and 'photo play' are outstanding. I really like the added birds - nice touch. Toby sounds like my kitty Ike - bright and early, smack dab up in my grill.
ReplyDeleteDeanna,
ReplyDeleteYour photography and editing is stunning! I love the first tulip picture and my favorite rock/water edit is the second one.
My birthday flowers are still beautiful too. I took picts of them two days ago. Yesterday, I got caught up on my editing and now I need to download and edit some more.
Molly does not sleep with me. J says no pets in bed. She does lie next to me when I sit or nap on the couch. She does like unappealing smells. Molly has a gas problem and snoring issues. It’s funny when she farts then looks/smells behind herself to see who did it.
Once again you've given us art! Did I ever tell you that Toby was the name of our family dog more than 60 years ago. He was a cocker spaniel. Have a gret Sunday.
ReplyDeletea nice new header Deanna and I especially like the first of your birthday flowers; those lovely pink tulips (the ones that were on your birthday girls table?)
ReplyDeleteperfect touches -- I LOVE the first version from Cathy's Photo. And I also enjoyed the flower photo images -- my they are a work of fine Art..
ReplyDeleteHugs
Oh I like what I see... all the beautiful versions from Cathy's image. Is there a winner? For me, yes, and if there was an award it goes to your first version. Love the warm colors.
ReplyDeleteSuch a funny habit Toby has - I chuckled as I read about this morning ritual :) Lovely birthday flowers ... The oil painting - canvas picture is verybeautiful and artistic, such as the editions if Cathy's pictures - love the warm shades in both of them!
ReplyDeleteDeanna, you made me lol at Toby smelling your breath in the morning. My dogs do the same thing! That's how they connect with us, I guess. So funny. Your photos are exquisite as always. I just love the light and airy feel of them. Wow!
ReplyDeletewonderful editing of the pic! and so lovely weekend flowers :) if you like join us ♥
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Deanna love the heart shape in the rock hope you have a sunny day...
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love what you did with the tulips and those edits on the rock are exquisite!
ReplyDeleteso nice to see you at weekend flowers! thanx :)
ReplyDeleteLoving your flowers my friend. and nice job on the editing. I always love to play around with photos as well..
ReplyDeleteHugs~
I have three dogs...one smells my breath as I hug him, the other smells my butt while I am hugging the first. The third is indifferent...he just wants a treat.
