Need a Little Peace

I need some peace in my life right now after the week we all have had....the devastation in my area is almost overwhelming due to the flooding. The sadness of losing pieces and parts of your home and all the memories that are associated with those parts is heartbreaking.  I escaped without any problems, but all I have to do is walk down the street and see water-drenched carpets rolled up by the curbside, furniture and bags & bags of what were once someone's treasures to witness the tragedies.

I have dug back into my images from Phoenix, a gentler time, to post today.  Peaceful images.....

    All are so nice Deanna, love the little butterfly with the white spots. I keep hoping for sun for your area, so sorry about your neighbors, water can do so much damage.

    Beautiful images all the way down the page ending with that superb heron shot!

    I think we all need this week to be better so we can take in the joyous renewal that spring brings us while lifting our spirits to new hopes.

    You certainly picked the perfect subject to go with your post Butterflies...sign of rebirth and renewal. I think our entire country needs to focus on the symbol of butterflies to remember that there is hope and fresh starts in the future....

    I am sorry for your area's loss. It's so hard to see friends loose treasures that dear to their hearts....Hopefully this coming week will be brighter and less violent than last week dear friend.....

    I wish you could hear me when I scroll through your images....its aaah, or oowww...or nice etc. I sound like an owl♥ I so enjoy seeing the art your produce on your posts. Very sad to hear of the terrible flooding. I know what it is like to walk out and see the neighbors carpets etc all on the streets. When hurrican charley came thru here it was very sad to see the devastation! Have a nice day and remember JESUS does love YOU!
