This was part of the speech that Arianna Huffington from the Huffington Post said in her commencement speech at Smith College. And that is what I try to bring to my life daily, all the little wonders of this world that are far more important than money or power. How can we not see the wonder in all the beautiful spring flowers that with all the rain we have had recently are in abundance....
The purples....
the reds.....
the pinks.....
Raindrops on roses....
And baby Cardinal eggs...7 of them!!!
Yes, thank you Arianna Huffington for reminding us that wonder is so much more than power or money.

My first time viewing baby cardinal eggs...looks like gold fairy dust has been sprinkled on them.
ReplyDeletereally beautiful set, deanna.
ReplyDeleteOh I love the Cardinal eggs - how sweet and precious! Your photos are beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteHugs to you!
So true and I try very hard to do this also. I think we do as long as we have our cameras with us to show us. Lovely presentation.
ReplyDeleteYes, we do see many wonders through the lens!
ReplyDeleteWhat beauty! The flowers are stunning, but I can only imagine how neat it would be to watch the progress of the cardinal and her nest.
ReplyDeleteI have found that having experience, not material things is what really makes me happy - wonder and awe - too bad they can't be bottled!! Beautiful wonder here . . .
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. I like the perspective of the purple flowers.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, these flowers are definitely wonders, and you captured them beautifully, Deanna.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Loe that quote too!!
ReplyDeletei love the little egg shot. so cool. ( :
ReplyDeleteThank you for this "wonder"ous post! :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photography! I really love the pink rose and white picket fence.
ReplyDeleteWonder frequently comes into play as far as money and power go for me. I often wonder where my money has gone and lack the power to magically refill the wallet after it has mysteriously disappeared.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful flowers.
Beautiful photos and yes... there is never a lack of things to see that can bring us wonder if we look
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful shots - especially the rose - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMy Dad didn't always go to church with us. His work schedule (shift work) didn't let him but it didn't stop him from showing me his beliefs in other ways. The way he planted a garden and never complained of no rain - he carried water when he had to. He always said you just have to wait and see. He planted flowers every summer and watched the birds and enjoyed a gentle breeze blowing through the trees. He stopped, he looked, he listened and he felt God in the everyday. It's what I try to do as well.
Both of these quotes are spot on!
Beautiful shots.
ReplyDeleteAll your photos are amazing. Love all the colors, and the picture of the eggs.
ReplyDeleteWe had the blue Robin eggs this Spring, they all hatched
and the babies have now flown the nest.
Deanna, these are just beautiful, and thank you for sharing the wonderful quote!
