After we had our lunch, (Noodles) we were on our way. It was cold, the wind was whipping, and the sky was totally without color, but I didn't care. I was with my grand and on the road. We ventured into territory neither one of us had ever been thru and along the way I found this....perfect for Theresa's Good Fences Thursday and Kim's Little Things Thursday. After all it is those little things that truly count in our life.
And another one....
Added a texture to this one...
And then barns....probably a little bit breezy in this one.
And just about the time we were done for the day the sky began to brighten up a little..
It was a great day, well spent and now off to the movies with friends and bookclub this evening where we will be talking about "Orange Is The New Black". Enjoy the rest of the week!!
"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything." ~ Aaron Siskind
Until next time.....
oh, like these wintry scenes! nice day, indeed!
ReplyDeleteOh, how I Love these...I love the one you where you added texture...but all are wonderful finds. And I would say Bailey truly enjoys the drives...I know my daughter did, and I am trying to train Lorelei to it by first taking her to the strip pits to watch for wildlife.
ReplyDeleteThere is such a stark beauty out there!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day with your granddaughter.. I love the pretty wintry scenes and the barns.. Great fence shots too. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteThe first picture was enough for me,
ReplyDeleteyou could have saved the others for
next Thursdays :)
That is gorgeous!
The colours, the high snow,
colourful lichen on the posts,
it's just perfect!
Go sell it as a postcard! :))
(the other pictures are fine, too :D )
Have a fine day

Oh my - I came from Theresa's for the fences but the winter scenes are gorgeous! LOVE the textured shot! Oh my that green barn - what a beauty!
ReplyDeleteI bet Bailey likes the drives.
I really like the starkness of winter. The trees are wonderful - I like the texture, too. If there is only a bit of color, it really pops with a gray sky and snow.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images! I love the white background (or lack of light) in them.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful scenes you have captured, Deanna, and how nice of your grand-girl to go along with you! I am interested in reading 'Orange is the New Black', too! Have a lovely weekend! xo Karen

ReplyDeleteOh I'm so glad your granddaughter was willing to take you for the drive. Your photos are just so lovely . That first shot with the wire fencing and the grasses is so pretty. Can't say I'd enjoy being out in all that snow but it does have a quiet beauty about it. Absolutely loved the green barn. So different and so pretty.
