A Little Winter Weary in Pics....

It's so wonderful seeing the early signs of Spring in other parts, here....not so much.  Snow is still on the ground, getting to that really messy stage where the kid's feet are usually covered in mud everytime they venture outside.  I haven't seen Robins yet, and I usually always see them just about this time of year.  I bet they are here, I just haven't spotted them.  When I do, you will be the first to know.

By this time of the year I feel like I could really use a tan....how about you??

And I am so tired of wearing that heavy muffler around my neck...

I have definitely overeaten this winter...

I am really tired of stepping gingerly thru the piles of snow and slippery ice...

I am so looking forward to Spring colors....pinks & yellows..

A trip to the spa where I am preemed and pampered is probably a "must do"

Or a new hair-do would be just the thing....

I get really bored about this time of year, just waiting for that warm weather to return...

Where I can sit in the sun and just let the sunshine warm my body...

How about you, are you feeling the first signs of Spring in your neighborhood or are you still in a snowy mess as I am?  Hang on, Spring will come, I guarantee it!!

The beautiful spring came; and when Nature resumes her loveliness, the human soul is apt
to revive also.—Harriet Ann Jacobs

All images are from the Phoenix Zoo where my friend, Joyce volunteers twice a week.

Until next time....

  7. Spring is just beginning to peek its head out from under the rocks at this end. Looking forward to seeing all the Spring colors you've shown off here!

  8. Absolutely fun! The best signs of spring I've seen are the crocus and daffodils sprouts that were not killed off by the recent snows. Our latest snow, by the way, is almost gone, thanks to temps getting back to a seasonal norm where I hope they'll stay.

  13. Deanna,
Your Arizona pictures are great. This post is very fun and creative!

I saw a Robin a few days ago and I understand where you are coming from with muddy paw prints! The cow dog stays in the entryway and I vacuum up the dirt that accumulates where she lays. Its dirty in the cattle lots and her hair seems to attract a lot it. The house dog doesn't get quite as dirty, but every once in a while I find those tell tale prints on my kitchen floor.

Thank you for your friendship across the miles and birthday wish.

  15. I am so in agreement with you and smiled at each of your captions! We have seen a few robins here, and I am pretty sure I heard my first bluebird. it is super messy here too and the bottoms of my white socks were dirty from walking on my own kitchen floor...DOGS! We were down in your neck of the woods this weekend...nice to see some open water again on the fox river!

  17. Oh my goodness, Deanna, I just love your friends here!!
Especially the giraffe. What a sweet thing.
I am most definitely ready for spring. It's been a tough winter, and we can now boast having the coldest February on record for this area. :-(

You take care, my friend, and I hope spring comes to you real soon. xo.
