OK, back to Blue Monday. In my on-going quest to eat healthier, I ate more blueberries this morning for breakfast....the only blue fruit I know. And thinking about it I don't know too many foods that are the color blue. There are plenty of foods that are green, red, and yellow but not so much blue. So in honor of the only blue fruit that comes to my mind I am linking this up to Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday with the added layer of hers entitled "simplicity". A simple fruit with a simple texture.
After shopping (yes I went shopping, that always seems to cheer me up), as I was driving home the sun was setting. What colors....only God can paint a sky like the one I saw this evening with all those heavenly blues and corals. That is what makes photography so blow-that-bugle awesome. To capture that beauty, and then to be able to look at it again and again and again.
Now off to the Bunco Pajama Party...you may see some fun pics later!!

Until next time.....
Beautiful images Deanna! Glorious sunset. I just froze a bunch of blueberries for making smoothies but I keep eating them. They're like tiny blueberry popsicles!
ReplyDeleteVery nice composition on your image and love the subtle use of simplicity - visiting from TT.
ReplyDeleteDeanna, Love your blog. Your post and Bio struck a cord. Oh, and I love your blueberries!
ReplyDeleteDeanna, I LOVE the composition of your blueberries! I can only think of one fruit that is blue myself and that would be the blueberry, yes. They are delicious in yogurt!

Happy PJ Bunco to you! :)

I'm so glad I clicked on your blueberry picture (Texture Tuesday) - your photography is beautiful! Yes, we all have our days when we go into a funk, don't we? I completely relate, and thank goodness they always seem to pass. Your story is inspiring...I admire your strength. Have a lovely day!

ReplyDeleteI especially love the first one.
Such beautiful simplicity.
simple is SO effective!!!
ReplyDeleteoh, deanna!... that blueberry shot is simplicity at its finest! wonderful. i'm sorry you were in a funk for a couple days... i was the same way for a good few weeks. i, too, feel as though i am coming out of it. i always get this way somewhere in january or february. i need sun and air on my skin. but at least it's been unseasonably warm here today... almost 50 degrees in chicago in january... unheard of!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better! Wow...the colors of that sunset are magnificent! Can't do ANYTHING to improve upon that :)

What a wonderful photo of blueberries. Love the soft textured look. I peeked about your blog and found it to be quite lovely. The teacup photo caught my eye.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by The Cottage on the Corner and leaving a most appreciated comment.
The weather really does make a big difference. Love your blueberries, I have some frozen (thawed) ones with my fruit and yoghurt each morning.
ReplyDeleteLovely sky and love your quote.
Such a contrast between these two images, but both are lovely!
ReplyDeletePretty blueberry texture. Simple...yet perfect all on its own.
ReplyDeleteShopping is the cure all right? ...and did you know blueberries are very good anti depressants? So with the mix of sun and blueberries, and shopping & bunko, ...I'd say you're in for quite a day!
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are absolutely stunning.
