A New Meme and Texture Tuesday...

As I stand and look out the window, the snow is falling heavily, clinging to the cars, the bushes, trees and grass.  Covering everything within it's reach giving it a softness, a whiteness, and a purity....at least until the snowplows hit the roads and Toby frolics in the yard.

Stopped by the grocery store yesterday to pick up needed supplies before this latest snow storm landed...and one thing that was on my "need" list was more flowers (along with milk, eggs & TP, I can get along without the milk and the eggs, but definitely not the TP).  And I wasn't disappointed, there were loads of beautiful bouquets bursting with spring color.  Purples, reds, yellows, pinks, whites, any color that hit your fancy.  I could have taken them all....but fortunately, my better sense took over and I only came home with 3...one purple, one red & one yellow.

I think this flower is "stock"....but not totally positive.  But whatever it is, I love the multi-petaled flower heads. Added Kim Klassen's texture "Sybil".

And more tulips...this time in red.

And how could I resist these sweet miniature daffodils.....

Something else I picked up at the grocery store was this double chocolate muffin....I just couldn't resist, but I only bought one, I could have picked up a 4 pack, but I resisted.  And you wonder why my weight is an issue.....duh!!  And that is the last of the orange tulips.

My sweet blogging friend, Nancy, over at A Rural Journal has started a new meme today entitled "Tuesday Muse", the only requirement being to link an image with texture....any texture.  No problemo for this lady...I do love textures, I really do.

And also linking to Kim Klassen for her weekly Texture Tuesday....how handy both are on Tuesday.

Thanks to all for your sweet comments you left on yesterday's post about Brie....it truly brightened her day.

"Accept everyone, including yourself, without judgement.  We are all doing the best we can.  If we knew how to do or be any better, we would.

And PS....I stopped reading "The Sacred Scripture" by Sebastian Berry....too depressing for this time of year.  Maybe later.

Until next time.....

  5. Exquisite photos. All of them. Flowers should be an essential, right up there with TP! You are too cute. Hope Toby has fun out in the snow, but photograph it first!

  9. That snow storm was supposed to dump on us, but mother nature shifted the winds & kept it south. We may only get 1-3 inches tonite.
    When it snows~it dumps, eh?
Looks like "french toast" for dinner thanks to Kathy's suggestion?

  10. The purple flower is quite lovely, but I am in love with the orange and it has served you well. I am so proud that I currently have 2 boxes of Thin Mints in the freezer and NO desire to eat them. Thank you Will Power, you are a true gentleman when you want to be. (I avoid the muffin area at all costs - there is no sticking those in the freezer)

  27. So many wonderful photos here my friend. Those pretty flowers have me smiling. It is crazy when I watch the news and see all the snow around the country when its so nice and warm here. I will be singing a different tune in a couple of months when its 110 degrees outside.

    Hugs~
