Some Feedback Wanted-Needed

Now what did you think when I bought that latest bouquet of tulips....you knew you would see a plethora of pics with the orange tulips.  (Linking to Madge's Weekly Top Shot)

Actually I have been putting together some sympathy cards to sell for my Bible Study group to raise money for their wonderful causes.

I have received some really positive feedback from the "Friday Letters" post (check it out here) and may be considering doing a similar link-up and probably calling it something like Letters on Friday.  After all there are mulitple link-ups on many subjects. ie fences, barns, cooking, crafts...so I don't think it would be too awful if I copied (I like to call it inspired) the original Friday Letters for those of us who are beyond the age of sharing mommy woes.  I would like to think of it as a short way of journaling our week, touching the highlights.  Comments??  Would love some feedback before I start investigating the world of  "linky" and how to make a button, HTML.....Latin to me.

"When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them; and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you."

Until next time.....

  1. nancy claeys would be a great source to contact re: link-ups since she's hosted a couple. heck, she's a great source on anything. :)

i'm not much of a 'sharer' so probably won't participate in letters, but i'm sure lots of other folks would.

    love your sweet tulips.

  2. I've just started to do link-ups, but no idea about how to do them. I have met some lovely bloggers this way. Your photos are great and I would love to buy a set.

  3. Linky Tools is the one I use for Barn Charm & Watery Wednesday - it's $25 a year. Sounds like a great, creative idea for a new meme. I'm not that creative, but I'd love to see everyone's posts. =)

  6. I don't know anything about the linky tools either so I wouldn't be much help either, but those photos are sooooooooo beautiful! Man oh Man!!! You need to put those on canvas and also sell cards with them, especially those with the gorgeous orange pops of color!

  7. oh, pooh - thought we were going to vote on the sympathy card. i always have such a hard time - you see they really don't make much a variety when it comes to sympathy cards - we need more options. i love the butterfly shot so pretty. thinking on the memories - so important.

good luck with the theme. sounds fun, if you want. ( :

  9. Hi Deanna, I love your beautiful cards, and they are something that I would buy, too. I love the idea for your link-up, 'Friday Letters'. There are a lot of Mommy blogs and we older Moms need another way of sharing our thoughts! I would definitely love to link up. (But I can't offer you techniques, as I am clueless)

Thank you for visiting me and for your very sweet comments. I have been peeking into your beautiful blog (with much more peeking to be done!) and I see you are dealing with Alzheimer's. My Dear Father just died after battling this terrible disease and I have much sympathy for what you are going through.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Blessings xoxo Your newest follower

  15. WOW! Those are such amazing photo. They make wonderful cards. I am sure you will sell out of those. I think the friday letters is a fabulous idea. I know I would play along.. I no longer have youngins at home. The only problem I see is the whole writing thing for me. But I will try.. :)

  16. These are gorgeous - I am especially in love with the first one. As for feedback, I generally like the writing to be off the subject - such as the vase in the second shot --- my inclination would have been to keep the writing to the side; but your edit looks very nice. Just goes to show stepping away from how we always do something broadens our experience.

  20. Deanna you have outdone yourself here! These are gorgeous and I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite! I think a linky for you would be a great idea, you are such an inspiration to all. Good Luck!

  21. There's always room for more inspiration Deanna -- I agree it would be nice to have a non-young-mommy meme for us old broads. Lol. My 5 Facts Friday is something anyone can do, although it's not technically a linky. Yet.

If you need any help with any aspect of Friday Letters, just shoot me an email. I'd love to help you. xo

  22. Your images are beautiful Deanna, love that first one so much. If anyone can get a group together for a link you are the one to do it. As you know I don't like to write so I will pass on this but I am sure there are a lot out there that do like it.

  23. Oh, my. You made great use of those tulips. You have a real gift with putting words with your photos and choosing the perfect fonts! I like the Friday Letters idea and could see participating in that. Best of luck!

  24. Lovely, lovely pictures as always!

I think a linky would be fun and it might even get me to blog more! Something I want to do!
Linky's are not that difficult. I can help you get started. After you have done it once, it's easy.

  27. Your first tulip image is incredible - wow what beautiful work! I'll be interested to see if you start a linky - I can't offer any advice - I can just say that I would join in on the fun.

  28. Hi Deanna, Your cards are truly gorgeous. I would buy them in a heartbeat as they outshine any I am able to find in the typical card section in a store. Have you ever thought about starting your own "BIG" business? You could build your own factory, hire hundreds of people and make a dent in the national crisis! I would say I'm just kidding, but I'm not. You are so talented.

As far as the link-ups, it's something I'm not that familiar with, but I very much enjoyed reading your Friday Letters post.

Are you willing to share the name of the texture used in the top photo? I have noticed it on a few of your photos, and I love it!
