Sunday Series Week 3 - Glass

This week the prompt over at Nancy's A Rural Journal Blog is glass.  Take 3 pictures of the same object and submit to her Sunday Series.  The first week I took 3 pictures of my kitchen, not exactly what she was looking for, but last week I think I got it right.  So here is the 3rd week.  (I think I followed the rules again this time).  Again, the subject is glass.  This immediately came to mind as I sat here in the kitchen because when I look up and a little-bit to the right...this is what I see.

Hanging wine glasses, but we have to take 3 shots at different angles etc. etc.....

I don't particularly like to drink alone on a Saturday night, but heh, it was for art's sake....(who in the heck is Art?)

And last, but not least, the remains of the empty glass.  You should have seen the amount of lipstick I put on to get this nice smudge on the glass.  Now I am going to go wash off my lips and maybe have one more glass just for Art's sake.  Sharing with....

OK, now I am really embarrassed....I screwed up the linky thingy so all you see is a funny looking critter where my beautiful wine glass is supposed to be.  It doesn't let you delete it or add another one....drats.  Did it again, what is with me and the Sunday Series Fifty-Two.  Nancy is placing this on hiatus after this week, it's probably a good thing for me, since I can't seem to get it right.

Sunday Series 52 - #2 Mail

Oh I am so far behind in my postings and I DO have a really good excuse, my son Lane was in town for 3 days, left this morning at 6:00 AM (sob, sob), but brought his soon-to-be-bride (yeah! yeah!)along to meet the P's.  I was not too surprised when he told me that they were getting married, but what surprised me is that the wedding is planned for Dec. 3 in California.  Dec. 3rd, OMG that is 3 months away.  Oh well, I digress from the subject at hand (but I really had to tell the terrific news right away) and that would be Nancy's Rural Journey Sunday Series 52, Week 2.  And this week the subject is mail....

Earlier this week I received this sweet note from a friend that I haven't seen in quite awhile.  Doesn't it warm your heart when "out of the blue" you receive a hand-written note delivered to your mailbox at your home instead of your "inbox" on the internet?  How much more time it took to find the card, write the note, stamp & address the envelope, and actually place it in a mail box to be mailed leaves a thankful imprint on my heart.  I must remember how much it meant to me, and find the time to do this for others.

Hope you receive lots of mail this week that leaves a thankful imprint on your heart.

Sunday Series 52 - Number 1

I am excited to join Nancy's "A Rural Journal" Sunday Series 52 (please pop over and admire all the other entries) that runs every Sunday for 52 weeks....each week a new challenge.  Red is the challenge for this week, and since red is one of my fav decorating colors I did not have any trouble finding red.  I think the instructions were to take at least 3 shots of the same subject using different angles, lenses, etc.  I hope I am not breaking the rules, but I took shots of all the different reds in my kitchen.  The subject (kitchen) is the same, just not the object.  So here goes.....

Oh, I failed to mention that along with red, cherries are a fav decorating theme (also red).  I think you will be able to pick that up when viewing the next few images.

Salt & Pepper shakers that sit atop the stove....

Cute little plate rack with sweet red cherries on each one.....

And the cannister set also with the cheery cherries.....

The plates are red and have a cherry motif...(so what else is new)

Not cherries, but red and in the kitchen.  These miniture toys sit sweetly on my kitchen windowsill reminding me of days gone by.

So that dear ones, is my take on Sunday Series 52 - #1.  Hope your Sunday is full of delight!!
