As I was gathering the old newspapers and magazines this morning to be recycled and re-stacking the rather large pile of books to be read, I came across a little book I bought awhile ago entitled "five good minutes". I tend to buy lots of little books, sometimes they are read immediately, sometimes they get put in a stack and are discovered again later. As I opened the book and began reading the very short chapters I came across this one entitled "lavishing love". It was simply a list of compliments to send to those you love, whether it be a single person or different people. Someone sent me a sweet compliment last week and it made me feel really special and loved. I like this list of lavishing love, so I am sharing it with you....
"You have the nicest smile. It lights up the whole room."
"You are one of the most generous people I know."
"You have a way of making everyone feel so loved and cherished in your life."
"You have the most positive outlook on life, and I really enjoy being around you."
"Your friendship means the world to me."
"Thank you for being a part of what is good in my life."
If you sent a little card with one of these compliments written on it, can you imagine how that person would feel? Simply lavished with love.
Sharing with Kim's Texture Tuesday and Nancy's Tuesday Muse.
PS A sweet note to Kim would be so appropriate right now as she and her family are going through a major health crisis.
Until next time.....
Beautiful Deanna, I so love how you did the quote on the first one with the "grow" upside down. Just perfect. Have a great day, hope it is free of rain.
ReplyDeleteAlso I was so excited about he quote, I failed to read all about the little book, perfect again as always.

ReplyDeleteYou have the most thought provoking, yet simple and down to earth blog posts. Love the rose with the purple flowers. And that exquisite purple thing at the end. All beautiful, though.
ReplyDeleteI want to receive a card with one of these sentiments - really terrific!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images and quotes!
ReplyDeleteYou should probably turn your lovely photos into cards that we can put one of these sentiments on and send to someone - then they'd feel really really super special. What a fun find your book must have been!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pictures and words.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a good idea to share the reasons why you like them. :) You have a generous spirit.
ReplyDeleteThank You for sharing some wonderful complements, Deanna! You are right; sometimes a simple smile and nice comment can go so far. If I see someone out and about and like their outfit or jewelry I try to let them know. Making someone feel good and the smiles I get back are priceless!
