My Answer Is Always No

Perusing thru blogs lately I am beginning to notice that spring is making her appearance with daffodils pushing thru the soft earth, buds beginning to open on bare limbs, and grass turning that soft light green.  Unfortunately for me, only thru other's eyes can I begin to enjoy those signs of spring.  My eyes are still seeing the browns, greys, and tans.  However, the sun has been showing her face a lot more in recent days which as Martha says, is a good thing.  The drabness of winter brings me to thoughts of appreciation of what's to come.  I have been asked more than once..."would you move to a climate where the sun shines most of the time and the days are always warm?"  My answer is always a "no".  I admit a few more warm days and a lot more sunshine would be ideal, but I don't think I want it all the time.  The appreciation of what's to come would diminish and basking in those glorious days of warmth and sunshine would become just an everyday occurrence.  You can't have the joy without the sorrow.

My blog is usually filled with color but today I fill it with the hues of winter with anticipation of the pleasurable color-filled days of spring.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday - The Feb 19, 2012 Edition

Hello again all my fellow hunters....it is time once again for Ashley's Scavenger Hunt Sunday.  I thought this week was difficult...for some reason my brain didn't want to focus in on the subjects, but I did manage to find all the challenges.  Hope you had an easier time of it than I did....

This week our challenges are

  • Love
  • Duplicated
  • Trend or Trending
  • Paper
  • Plastic
LOVE (pretty self explanatory)

DUPLICATED (Love the duplication of windows, colors, motifs etc,)

TREND OR TRENDING (I think Owls are a big trend right now, you see them all over the place)

PAPER (believe it or not this was difficult for me...don't ask, don't know)

PLASTIC (fresh strawberries in my little plastic colander)

Well that's it for this week...stop on by and see what else you might find.  Linking up with Ashley at Ramblings and Photos....

Until next time.....
