Just Peachy

Decided to join in Nancy's Random Five but I am going to have to dig deep to come up with anything worth mentioning.

One, Happy Valentine's Day to all of you.  I hope you spend some part of your day with someone you love.

Two, the kids went to the beauty shop yesterday and got all prettied up.  And Cinder even has a new sweater.  The red one was getting a little ragged since she has practically worn it non-stop since I bought it before Christmas, due to our less than spectacular winter.

Three, I love taking pictures of animals.  I took this image while in Arizona at a small sheep farm right in the middle of the suburbs.  They move the sheep around, so one day you see them close to the road, the next day they are gone.  This day they happened to be in a fenced off area in a field with tall grass, a banquet for the sheep after they had obviously been stripped clean of all their wool.

Four, I have a thing for doors and windows too.  Especially those found in Tucson.  Here are a few more you haven't seen.

Five, I am not going to mention how the walls are closing in, how my back bumper was hit by an unknown assailant and to fix it, I need to pay for it out of pocket due to my insurance being so high right now (caused by an accident, my fault, 2 years ago that cost $13,000 to fix my car, and I have no idea what it cost to fix the one I hit, thus the high insurance), or that our book club this month is reading The Snow Child that has a setting in Alaska in the wintertime which is I am thinking we should have chosen a different book for February, or that I am gathering all my tax info.  Other than that, things are just peachy.

PS - I need to work on that....!!!

Until next time.....

  8. Cinder is so darn cute, can't wait to meet her someday. Sorry about your bumper, did they hit and run? I still haven't fixed our windshield, it's like $300, and we have things like Sams medical and the girls college, and besides if I get any extra money I would rather have a new lens or something more fun! ;) Your photos are beautiful, can't get enough of those doors.

  12. I love Cinder all dolled up in her new sweater; she looks like she's just sitting there posing for you...So sorry about the hit and run. That is just not fair for someone to do that. Seeing as how I love fiber so much, the sheep picture is just too cute....It looks like they have just been sheared.....

  13. I {{ heart }} your little 'LOVE' vase! And that new sweater looks so cute on Cinder ... not that she needs any help in the cute department. And one can never get too many Barrio doors to look at. The car. Oh, my, Deanna. This has not been a good luck car for you, has it? I hope it doesn't set you back too much. Spending money on photography equipment is much more fun. Hope you have a 'peachy' weekend!

  15. Happy Valentine's Day Deanna, love that you got the sheep. wish I had that lens for my Canon but then I would also have to have your finger pushing the shutter to get the images. :) Love all of them. Love the processing on the doors. Cinder is so cute in her sweater but is she saying Mom I need my hair back it is Winter? Oh that hurts with the insurance, had to shell out $400 for a 10 inch scratch on my 9 month on car door that some fine person put on it so can relate somewhat. Life is crap sometimes so go eat some chocolate.

  16. I hate to hear you are dealing with insurance anything. I've concluded that insurance agents make lawyers look like angels. Absolutely love all the doors and that sweater is too cute for words. I hope your day has been a peaceful one. Happy Valentine's Day Deanna.

Sending warm wishes for a day full of sunshine and wonderful friends soon!!!

  19. All these shots are gorgeous! Those heart-shaped leaves are unusual and pleasing to the eye. And I love all the doors. So much color and unusual shapes. You have the gift of an artistic eye. Hope your problems seem miles away this Valentine's weekend, at least some of the time.
