The Emblem
Happy Memorial Day everyone....let's pause and remember those that have fought and died for this flag and for those that continue. Blessings to all.
And on another note, I am sure many of you have heard and probably received information concerning Kim Klassen's husband who has very recently been diagnosed with Leukemia. Kim gives and shares so much with the blogging and photography community, that I want to encourage all of us to send her our love and certainly our prayers for a full recovery for her husband. It will be a long road, but apparently the Doctors are saying he will make a full recovery.
One of my favorite quotes.....
"When you come to the edge of all the light you know, and must take a step into the darkness of the unknown, believe that one of two things will happen. Either there will be something solid for you to stand on or you will be taught how to fly. " ~ Patrick Overton
Until next time....

ReplyDeleteHappy Memorial Day Deanna.
Love your photo and the quote! I saw the email from kim and know that this must be a pretty difficult thing for her and for her family. Will definitely keep them in my prayers. Also say that Lindy Lou with italian travels lost her husband over the weekend. So difficult. Hope you had a lovely weekend.

ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely flag shot and that quote is beautiful!
Beautiful quote for a very special day of honor for our fallen soldiers. So very sorry to hear about Kim's husband but good to know there is a positive diagnosis for his return to health. That is good news! Hope you have a lovely week, Deanna. xoxo

Have a lovely day! xo
Beautiful image Deanna, we remember our armed forces on November 11th Armistice Day.. I'm thinking of Kim and her family daily...
ReplyDeleteI should have posted earlier. Thanks Deanna for posting the picture of our flag. It's the one that flew at the Field of Honor last year in honor of my father-in-law who served in WWII. We're proud to fly it at our home now. Glad you could share the day with us.
