These are my snow angels. They are the family that live across the street and every time it snows they come over (all of them) with shovels in hand and shovel my driveway and walks. You can see by the pic how heavy it was snowing. God bless the good neighbors in this world!!
Toby loves the snow....he jumps and runs and buries his nose in the white stuff.
While Cinder, on the other hand, is just fine staying in the nice warm house with her new sweater to keep her extra warm. She only goes out when it is absolutely necessary, if ya know what I mean.
OK now it is the morning after and Toby has managed to burrow his way through the snow...you can tell by the huge piles just how much snow actually fell yesterday. I saw on facebook someone measured 16 inches on their back porch but I don't think it is quite that much. It's still a pile whatever the actual measurement is.
And another shoveling angel stopped by this morning and snow-blowed my driveway and sidewalks. I am so grateful for my neighbors who do this for me. I have enough trouble just keeping a walkway cleared for the kids.
And to remind us that Spring is on it's way....(altho today being Ground Hog's Day and the critter saw his shadow which means another 6 weeks of winter) we will think warm thoughts and enjoy flowers from TJ's until they begin their emergence in the warmth of
Stay warm, stay safe!!
Until next time.....
ADORABLE snow-shoveling family!!! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your snow angels! What a cute family!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow scenes and what wonderful neighbors, to take care of you as they do. My mom is blessed that way, too. It sure does mean a lot.
ReplyDeleteDogs in snow are so cute!! Love your shoveling crew!
ReplyDeleteWe're getting the snow today - now over 3ft out there!!!
That is a smashing photograph of the Angels that shovelled your snow. Love the shots of the 2 dogs. Stay safe and warm.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your post, while I am cozy and warm inside. We haven't had enough snow this year to even talk about. In our area the weather is different every year. We have years with no snow and then a year will come along that buries us in . . . like what you are experiencing. That photo of your neighbors would look adorable on a family Christmas card :)
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful snow angels. I've been keeping my Chicago friends in my thoughts as I read about the snow you've gotten. We've got snow and freezing rain -- my least favorite. I've been in all day and it's been the perfect day to turn on the oven and roast veggies. Keep cozy!
ReplyDeleteNothing more beautiful than new fallen snow, but I still have to appreciate the 70 degree weather that we''ve been having. I will have to live vicariously through you Deanna, and you've done a great job on the photos. Cinder has a great idea on staying in doors and enjoying the sweater. Smart girl. I remember the outhouses too.... can't even imagine that . UGHHHH! Be safe and enjoy the beauty
ReplyDeleteThe snow is so pretty, Deanna, and I got a little laugh out of Toby playing in the snow with Cinder staying warm and snuggly inside. You most certainly do have the best neighbors! It must make you feel so good to know that someone is looking out for you! Be extra careful walking outside, Hon. xoxo Karen
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beginning to look like my yard in CO! Glad you have help with clearing the snow - that's a tough job. Bob still shovels, but he probably shouldn't. Cinder might have the right idea - all she needs is a good book.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous images Deanna! It looks like a Winter Wonderland.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how cold it must be but you have created such divine images.
Gorgeous and wonderful snow. What fantastic and kind neighbours you have to keep your driveway cleared! It snowed here too, but in the city it doesn't stay for quite so long and the trucks and snowploughs come round putting salt on the roads and paths.
ReplyDeleteA winter wonderland! and that is so nice you have such wonderful neighbors!
ReplyDeleteOh man.. That is a lot of snow. I have never lived where it snowed.. I take that back, it snow in Vegas a couple of times. But not that heavy crazy type of snow. I would love to experience it just once in my life.. It would be pretty hard to stay warm in our 5th wheel with snow like that. Our heater can barely keep up with the lows in the 50's. LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos my friend.
Hugs~
Hugs~
I like your neighbors and one snow loving doggie and one cuddlier doggie must make it a perfect winter world . . .
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos . . .
Enjoy some HAPPY TJ's . . .
That is just so awesome that you have neighbors to do that for you! My mom couldn't even get out of her front door and I have two sisters who live there! (don't get me started). It really is a beautiful snow!!
ReplyDeleteI totally love that first photo...we did not get a lot. I was wanting this kind that clings and hangs heavy on everything.
ReplyDeleteLove your snow angels, too....we have a couple guys that are our snow angels...they come and clean off everything with their 4-wheelers that have blades. Actually, they do about the whole neighborhood.
We did get 18" & of course our snow blower died. BUT we have great neighbors too - he stopped & plowed the drive when he saw Steve shoveling.
ReplyDeleteWe're supposed to get even more tonite!
Your world certainly is beautiful and what a blessing to have neighbors who help with the snow removal. Gifts come in all shapes and sizes don't they? It's funny that Toby has such a good time outside and Cinder likes to stay warm and cozy inside....I guess they're like people with their own personality...Stay warm and enjoy the beauty while it lasts...
ReplyDeleteI love your snow angels!! What a gorgeous family. There mama is raising them well!
ReplyDeleteCutest snow shovelers I've ever seen. Great picture.
ReplyDeleteNice to see Toby and Cinder dealing with the white stuff in their own ways.
Your pictures are amazing! They all tell a story. I love seeing the snow pictures since I won't see snow down here in Florida but that one with Cinder wearing the sweater is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteBless those snow angels! They are so darn cute. Most of the snow storms have missed us.
ReplyDeleteAwesome neighbors!! My plumber, who happens to be an avid deer hunter said we will have warmer temps and green grass in April, only two months to go!
