Letters On Friday (from Phoenix)

Dear Phoenix Weather, you know I wanted it warm and sunny, and you have accommodated me quite nicely, but I think you went a little over-board on the temperatures.  Instead of a pleasant 80, you were a little unpleasant at 90.  But, I am not complaining, just sayin....!

Dear Phoenix Botanical Garden, oh my you do have beautiful colors at this time of the year.  I was in colorful heaven with your masses of blues, pinks, reds, purples, yellows, whites and oranges.  Who says the desert has no color....ha!!

Dear Hummingbirds, oh how very sweet you are.  Now if you would just slow down long enough for me to get a really good portrait of you, that would be much appreciated.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Quail, oh you are perfection with your beautiful array of colors and your little feather crowns you wear.

Dear Desert, I must confess, after all these years of not being a fan of you, I now seem to be enraptured with your beauty and your colors.

Dear Photography Girl Friends....what fun you all are and what fun we had together today.

  1. Oh Deanna a little tear in my eye Mark and I visited Terri's part of the world in 2011 around about now and had an amazing time at the Botanical Gardens. I loved the desert so much except it was a bit warm for me but hey air conditioning, anyway gorgeous colours and I agree about the humming birds but I got some good shots of lizards....

  15. We lived in Arizona for over 20+ years and I can vouch for the desert having LOTS of color, especially this time of the year. Oh, and love the little quail. Used to get a few that would run under our yard gate, and then run across the back patio, sometimes with their babies. Roadrunners were notorious for that as well. Such fun! Thanks for sharing. xox
