More From Dayton and A Giveaway

I am fast approaching my 2 year blog anniversary, May 10th, and thought I would do a little giveaway to celebrate and to show my appreciation to all of my blogging friends.  I am going to choose a few of my favorite photos and give the winner a choice as to what form/size you would like to receive....in other words, a 5x7 print, or an 8x10 print or 6 greeting cards with envelopes.  And I will have 2 winners, one for each year.  How's that??  The choices will all be under the tab entitled "My Prints".  Thought I would do it like that and if you are interested leave a comment on that page telling me which print and what your choice is for printing.  If you can't make up your mind, just leave a comment saying you are interested and you can pick the print later.  Okie Dokie!!  I have included quite a few (probably too many, I get carried away) images, so hopefully you can find one that you would like to have.

And....speaking of too many, I am posting more Dayton shots today.  Our days were filled to the brim, Friday was shopping, I bought two really, really cute tops and spent an insane amount of money on them.  I don't know why I think when I am out of town I have the license to just spend away.  And then we ended up in a thrift shop and bought 3 more tops, at a much cheaper cost.

First time ever I have purchased something from a thrift shop, but couldn't resist, $10 for a beautiful blouse from Chico's.  That evening we celebrated my nephew's 18th birthday with steaks on the grill, yum, first time this year.

Saturday was family celebration time again.  My brother-in-law, his wife and my niece and her two little ones along with another nephew and others helped Joey continue his 18th birthday celebration with more food and lots of visiting.  It was so good to see everyone, it had been far too long since my last visit.  Boys have all grown up and heading off to college.

Me and the Birthday Boy

My niece's two little ones....

Sunday was cloudy with threatening rain, but we decided to go to Waynesville and risk it.  Waynesville is an old town where many of it's original buildings have been converted into antique and gift shops....my kinda shopping altho I actually resisted spending, I think it was the guilt of so much spending on Friday that helped reel me in.  Coming and going my sis-in-laws happily stopped for photo-ops along the way.

And my sweet Toby had a fun, fun time visiting too.  Chasing the tennis ball over and over and over again filled his days.  He was exhausted when we arrived back home. This image of  Toby is so joyful.  I love it.

Another great trip, short but oh so sweet.

Until next time.....

  3. Oh what a fun family and a fun giveaway. I know what print of yours I want, but you didn't post it under your prints. There are pictures you did of apples last fall that I have been wanting as prints to hang up in my house. So if I win can I get an apple print? Actually I think I should order a set of gift cards from you of your apple shots for end of the year teacher gifts. Would you do that?

I am excited about your giveaway and will skip on over and look at your prints....I am sure it will be a difficult decision since I am such a big fan of your photography....

  9. Wonderful pics! You know, I grew up not far from where you were in Middletown, Ohio. We used to stop in Waynesville and shop for Fiestaware back a few years. I still have many pieces I bought there. We go back to Middletown every year because my whole immediate family is still in the area. Maybe we will pass on the road one of these days. BTW, next time you go, I would recommend The Pine Club for the best steak of your life.

All your beautiful colors and flowers make me long for spring. Yesterday, the Hubby asked me why the blue face? I said I want to take pretty pictures of blooms and buds and spring. It was in the upper 20's yesterday morn and this am. Yesterday it almost made 50* ... spring is coming!
