A Poem
by Ganga White
What if our religion was each other?
If our practice was our life?
If prayer was our words?
What if the Temple was the Earth?
If forests were our church?
If holy water - the rivers, lakes and oceans?
What if meditation was our relationships?
If the Teacher was life?
If wisdom was self-knowledge?
If love was the center of our being?
Certainly words to ponder.....
Until next time.....
How exquisite! That Autumn crisp photo is just breath taking. Beautifully written.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem and beautifully illustrated! I imagine the world would be a kinder place if the what ifs actually were.
ReplyDeleteInteresting thought Deanna, I think it is. I know I have people say to me you are quiet but your photography speaks so much about you. That is what I try to do let my photography speak for me, may seem strange but as a sensitive quiet person I guess I let my religion, faith how I feel about the world speak through my photography. I think a lot of creative people do this in their own way, you do it so well through your blog writing and through your photography.
ReplyDeleteLove this poem and your photos, just stunning! I don't believe they are what if's, I believe they ARE!
ReplyDeleteLove it all! Such awesome colors and words.

Oh my you make my heart skip a beat with your fabulously beautiful photos. I love Nature but I don't think it's God. God created Nature for man to enjoy not to worship. (jmho).
ReplyDeleteJust so lovely!!
