New camera shots....
New actions....Addy Lane is going out of business so she is offering all of her actions at 30% off with the code FINAL30 when you checkout. Here is a link to her site if at all interested. I enjoy using actions...they make editing so much simpler and since these are on sale, even better.
And I can't believe I have actually done this, but because I did cancel my trip to Italy due to the fact I did not want to be so far away in case I had a sweetie emergency, but have been itchin' to go someplace with camera in hand, I just signed up for a week-long photography workshop in The Great Smokey Mountains in October. The instructor is from my neck of the woods and has been doing photography workshops and teaches photography at a local Chicago college for years. I spoke with him on the phone and I just decided to go for it....if you don't continue to grow, you die on the vine.

Until next time....
I just think it's wonderful that you took a day to play with your new camera and the results are just two of the cutest dogs I have seen in a long time....Maybe one day we will see a picture of the two of them together.....Your grandson is so handsome and just the spitting image of you. I can tell you enjoy your grandchildren so much and I am glad that you are able to see them so often...Needless to say, your photography trip sounds wonderful....A trip with a new camera in the mountains sounds like perfection to me.....
ReplyDeleteDeanna, this trip sounds amazing, and I look SO forward to seeing the photographs you will return with.

ReplyDeleteI am SO jealous of you going on a week long camera class trip. Ugh, I have to stay home & work.
ReplyDeleteSo maybe we'll need to meet up for a mini fill in session sometime when you return. (wink-wink) I think I could learn SO much from you!
Looks like you're already a pro with your new camera! Can't wait to see what you'll be sharing in posts to come!
ReplyDeleteA new camera? AWESOME!!! I sooooooo need to take some "serious" photography classes. I am so envious you'll be heading to the Smokies with your camera! Way to go!!!
ReplyDeleteYour portraits (even of apples and pumpkin) are telling in the details. What a great trip you'll have, and you can share what you learn with the rest of us. Having fun with a new camera is not a waste of time!

ReplyDeleteYour photos are gorgeous, but they always are. Good for you! There is a photographer and instructor in my area who I admire and follow, and he does week long photo trips to that area as well (and also other places). It just hasn't fit into my schedules yet. I hope you have a great experience and I can't wait to see your photos from the trip!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for a cute puppy shot! Gorgeous edits!!

ReplyDeleteOhhhh! I think I'm liking your new camera! And great news on the photography workshop! I'm envious. {It's a lot easier to get home from TN than from Rome, if needed. And hopefully it won't be.}
ReplyDeleteYour dogs are just precious! I wouldn't say you got nothing done -- you're playing with your new camera and you produced beautiful photos :) Your trip sounds like a dream to me! I'm hoping to make it to New England in the fall some day. Enjoy, and with your new camera, too!!!!

ReplyDeleteYou have been having all kinds of fun...the Smokey Mountains are spectacular and especially in October...can you tuck me in your pocket?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to spend your day. The new camera is producing some awesome results but then again the person behind the camera knows what she is doing. Can't wait to see what you take in the Great Smoky Mountains.
ReplyDeleteYou're certainly loving that new camera. I can feel it. You are making some beautiful images -- love the ones of your dogs, especially. Yes, I'm a fall lover too, although I can take or leave Halloween.;-) That workshop sounds fabulous. I hope you tell us (and show us) all about it!
