While Toby was in the groomers (aka PetSmart) there was a pet adoption event going on with kittens on the inside and dogs on the outside. Eventho I should have been on my way to drop off the pictures from a recent family shoot, I could not help but stop and look at the dogs. That was my first mistake. I instantly fell in love with Cindy...she is too sweet not to love. After thinking about it for a moment, I thought, what the heck. I love dogs, Toby will adjust and I will give this precious little one a new home where she will definitely be loved.
So may I introduce you to Cinder (aka Cindy, thought Cinder fit her better). And check out the absolutely precious new collar, couldn't resist. Talk about "something beautiful"....she is certainly beautiful in my eyes. Oh and by the way....she is part poodle and part schnauzer. Toby is part schnauzer so surely they will get along....right?? Right now they are in a look-see mode. Will keep you posted on her adjustment.
Linking with Kathy's Sonography today with the theme being "something beautiful"...perfect. And with Madge at Weekly Top Shot.
"I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me they are the role model for being alive."

Until next time.....
That's what I have Deanna...a Schnoodle :) (schnauzer/poodle). Oh my, oh my....I would have done the same thing. Actually, I got MY Schnoodle spur of the moment too. Ya know...once Toby gets acclimated, I think yo uare going to like have two dogs. I brought my Schnoodle home to a Boston Terrier. The two of them are like brothers now..they play all the time and entertain each other. They are a riot to watch. AND, I have to admit, it is so much easier since they kind of rely on each other for entertainment. DEF "Something Beautiful" here my friend! And a huge congrats to both you AND Cinder :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Deanna! She is just adorable and what a cute collar you got her. Don't count on Toby just loving having a new dog in the house. You can hope, but.... remember that dogs are just as liable to be jealous as kids are. Cindy is just toooo cute though! and it is just a wonderful thing to rescue a dog. They are always so appreciative of your efforts! They always seem to realize that you have saved them....
ReplyDeleteShe is just adorable and yes beautiful...I do love the pink collar and here comes all the pink shopping for this sweetie......I love the way you make decisions; I prefer the quick let's do it now too.....I am sure after a little adjustment period they will be big buds and have lots of fun together..Just remember Toby has been your main squeeze now for awhile so he may be a little jealous....I am so happy for you and I can't wait to hear all the tales of Toby and Cindy...You big heart is giving a beautiful dog a new lease on life.....Bless you.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh puppy love!!! Deanna! She's the cutest little thing. I can't wait to hear how Toby adjusts! He might be happy to have a playmate.

ReplyDeleteOh that's hilarious, Deanna! Hope Toby will be a good brother!
ReplyDeleteoh my word! now that's a spontaneous addition! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so excited for you! Cinder is so pretty--just a doll! And that collar is so pretty and girly. I hope she and Toby adjust to each other quickly. I think having two dogs can be a great thing--they won't be lonely while you're gone from the house.
ReplyDeleteYou and my daughter! I was happy dogsitting three dogs and a cat, but she fell in love with a 6-month old who is happy and precious and can do tricks...but just will not go to the outhouse. Hope you have better luck with the cute Cinder!
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable and that is one fancy collar. Hope Toby is not jealous!
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute. We are rescuing a puppy! We get to meet her on Thursday. She was just rescued from a kill shelter in NC and came up to NJ. She has to see the vet on Wednesday and if she gets a clean bill of health she is coming home with us on Thursday. Yay for new dogs!
ReplyDeletemade me smile (big) ... she is so darn sweet; make your heart melt. Hope Toby settles in with her real soon too.
ReplyDeleteThat is one cute pup, a schnoodle?? Cinder, I like that too... isn't it funny how we name out pets and then end up calling them a nickname?? Thanks Deanna, for coming by sharing your creative photography on Weekly Top Shot #100!

ReplyDeleteHappy Monday to you, Deanna.
Bless.Your.Heart. So glad you gave that adorable pup a home. I hope the two learn to get along.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable girl! I know you will love and enjoy her and I hope your Toby will accept her and learn to enjoy having a fun new playmate! She is exactly the kind of dog I have been wanting for my next dog which is a few years away from happening for me. My 2 dogs are getting older (10 yrs) so I don't know how much longer they will be around. For now, they are doing really well so I hope we have a few more good years together. Enjoy the new puppy!
ReplyDeleteOh gorgeous we had poodles as a child and I loved them hope to see some shots of Cinder and Toby....
ReplyDeleteDeanna, what a giving heart you have....I love this story...praying Toby and Cinder will become best of friends.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Cinder is adorable! - What a wonderful thing you did by adopting her. I hope that Toby and Cinder will become fast friends very soon. Looking forward to seeing many more photos of both of them. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteHaha, those dog adoption events are dangerous. I've ended up with 5 total in the past due to those things. Dogs are my weakness. They are the epitome of unconditional love and loyalty. Cinder is ADORABLE! Toby will indeed adjust--I notice my two chihuahuas stick together, so certainly schnauzers will do the same. How fun! Cinder looks to be a bundle of joy. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteoh. my. gosh... so stinking cute. you know i'm partial to schnauzers anyway. she is a adorable. and now i have an even WORSE case of puppy fever. :) can't wait to hear how toby likes having a little sister! :)
ReplyDeleteYay for saving a life. I can't imagine that Cinder could have found a better home. Toby will eventually fall in love, and be very happy to have a sister. Congratulations on your new family member!
ReplyDeleteBless your heart, Deanna!

OMGosh! She IS adorable! You, however, might need a check up. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you are giving Cinder a warm and loving home.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!! Can't wait to hear of all your new adventures with Cinder!
