It's Texture Tuesday over at Kim Klassen's lovely blog. And once again, Kim has provided us with more free goodies. This week our theme is "dreaming"....that's easy. I do a lot of that both awake and asleep. I still dream of what might be, where I might go, what I will see, you are never too old to dream.
And speaking of old....my daughter's birthday is today. Happy Birthday, Lisa. She isn't old, but when I think of how old she is, then I really feel old. As your children age it suddenly becomes glaringly clear just how time marches on whether you want it to or not. It just seems like yesterday that she was getting married, having her first child, then her 2nd and 3rd. Now those babies are grown, all but the last one are "adults". I am waiting for these grandchildren to start having babies so I can experience the beginnings of new lives again, a great-grandmother...I like the sound of that. OK....I am dreaming again.
For Texture Tuesday I am using the same image twice, but using two different textures. I used 2 of Kim's new textures from her Oasis Collection. The first one is Laura.....
And the 2nd is Leslie....
I can't pick a fav, can you?

Until next time....
Ooooh, I'm not sure I can pick a favorite, but maybe the first one? I just love the photo, a pink rose, how can you go wrong with that?! xo
ReplyDeleteThe first is my favorite...so soft...but they are both lovely.
ReplyDeleteLaurie
There is something about you and roses, Deanna! Both pictures are dreamy, the 1st ones warmth and soft light attracts me, but on the other hand the bluish shades makes the sensitivity of the rose to appear in a very special way in the 2nd photo ... If I was to choose a poster, it would be the 2nd rose with Leslie.
ReplyDeleteI think I am leaning towards the first. It is the green background over the blue.
ReplyDeleteTime does have a way of moving forward much much too quickly.

ReplyDeleteDeanna,
ReplyDeleteThank You for the inspiration to never give up dreaming. I am 31 and still fighting for my true dream. It's not easy, but I am still trying.
My favorite is the first texture edit, Laura. I haven't tried anything from the Oasis Collection yet.
These really turned out so lovely

ReplyDeleteThese are both beautiful photos and edits, but I give the edge to the first one because it's warmer. To me. :) And I like the linen look of it.
