Kim's Texture Tuesday - The November 6, 2012 Edition

Gosh, it seems like forever since I have participated in Kim's Texture Tuesday.  I know that today is a free & easy edition, no rules, but I have used one of Kim's latest textures that she has again graciously shared with us entitled "Carol" from her new "Oasis Collection".   We have very little color left in our area, most of the leaves dropped while I was gone, but there are still a few bushes and trees that have some hues of Fall.

The whole west side of my house and 1/2 of the north side is covered with this wild ivy.  I certainly did not plant it, it blew in from my neighbors and in the fall, the leaves turn this beautiful red and all drop off only to return again in the spring.

The Limelight Hydrangea has turned this golden brown color.  I wait until they are totally dry and then I use them each year as decorations on my Christmas Tree.

Last night we had a significant frost and when I walked out this morning to retrieve the newspaper I noticed the frost on all the leaves and blades of grass.  I immediately grabbed my camera (isn't that what we do when we see frost??) and headed toward the backyard where the rosebushes were still in bloom.  The frost on the petals is almost magical, but I fear this may be the end of the roses.

I had the great pleasure to meet Kim at Tracey Clark's OASIS in Palm Springs, CA.  She is just as she seems, quiet, sweet, caring, and generous.  She makes everyone feel so welcome, and loves to hug, one of my favorite things to do too.  Pop by her site today and give her some love.
