For Today:
Outside my window - this morning I saw a bright red Cardinal in the front yard. I must get that bird seed out and hang the feeder!!
I am thinking...of all the things that have to be done in the next few weeks in preparation for Christmas and when am I going to have time to do all that I want to do because as you will read, I do waste a lot of time.
I am thankful...for Thanksgiving because it always brings my family together for one whole day.
In the kitchen....Leftover cranberry/apple pie that is calling to me
I am wearing....brown cords & a long-sleeved knit shirt and comfy shoes
I am creating.....the calendars from my photos to sell next weekend at an Art Sale
I am going....nowhere today
I am wondering....why I waste so much time??
I am reading....Maine - a story of women and their relationships, recommended by a "reader" friend of mine.
I am hoping....that I will sell some of the calendars
I am looking forward to....going away to a rented house north of here with the whole family for Christmas and also hoping we will have snow for Christmas...perfect!!!
Around the house....need to get all the Fall Decor put away and the Christmas stuff out and begin the decorating.
I am pondering.....why I waste so much time??
A favorite quote for today....
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have
into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos
to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a
feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.
Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and
creates a vision for tomorrow."
-- Melody Beattie
One of my favorite things....listening to Christmas music, I just turned them on today for the first time this season.
A few plans for the rest of the week....finish the calendars, visit my sweetie, enjoy Bunco, Bible Study & Christmas Dinner with friends.
A peek into my day....oh it is pretty boring, always starts with coffee and newspaper then the day unfolds to whatever.
A couple of more pics from my foggy morning trip to the Arboretum earlier this week....
Hope you had a good day....
Until next time....
I especially like the tree line in that second shot - but both are seasonally moody - very nice. I suspect you waste time because you have a little extra left over after all the years of running, taking care of, squeezing in this or that, and going, going, going. I think it is a little healthy to waste time every now and again. I do it religiously!
ReplyDeletebeautiful photographs, so lovely. Nice commentary, enjoy it all.
ReplyDeletelaughing at your 'wasting so much time'. :)
ReplyDeletegood luck with the calendars!
I love the last picture, all the foggy mist and the geese.
ReplyDeleteThank you for mentioning Christmas music, I need to listen to some, but I think I'm going to wait until December 1st, or I might want to scream from Christmas music overload.
Now quit wasting time and get those calendars finished ;-D
are you sure it is you that is wasting time? seriously? not sure it is you ... maybe it is me that is wasting time away. got to get to work, now!! ha. ha!! you make me smile. going to check out that blog now. have a great sunday. ( :

I have never thought of you as someone that wastes time. Perhaps you don't accomplish everything on your To Do List but I bet you spend a lot of time being loving to others and yourself.
ReplyDeleteRealizing our blessings.....what better goal for the day?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, as usual....especially the geese.
Good luck with the calendars....
Yes, everyday small blessings...they come in abundance, so many never notice them---sad face! That is why I love instagram, for that very reason. I can post something immediately that has inspired me...I'm going to have to check this blog out!
ReplyDeleteI was laughing about pondering wasting time - while I also saw this on Nancy's blog and pondered joining in - you did. I'm still pondering... I might get around to it sometime - if I stop wasting so much time ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove those flying geese, the contrast is just right!
