Not One Stinkin' Thing

I have been playing around with my new camera today along with downloading some new actions that I would highly recommend if you have Photoshop or Elements....so therefore I have not accomplished one stinkin thing all day long.

New camera shots....

New actions....Addy Lane is going out of business so she is offering all of her actions at 30% off with the code FINAL30 when you checkout.  Here is a link to her site if at all interested. I enjoy using actions...they make editing so much simpler and since these are on sale, even better.

And I can't believe I have actually done this, but because I did cancel my trip to Italy due to the fact I did not want to be so far away in case I had a sweetie emergency, but have been itchin' to go someplace with camera in hand, I just signed up for a week-long photography workshop in The Great Smokey Mountains in October.  The instructor is from my neck of the woods and has been doing photography workshops and teaches photography at a local Chicago college for years.  I spoke with him on the phone and I just decided to go for it....if you don't continue to grow, you die on the vine.

Sharing with my friend, Nancy over at A Rural Journal for.....

Until next time....

  1. I just think it's wonderful that you took a day to play with your new camera and the results are just two of the cutest dogs I have seen in a long time....Maybe one day we will see a picture of the two of them together.....Your grandson is so handsome and just the spitting image of you. I can tell you enjoy your grandchildren so much and I am glad that you are able to see them so often...Needless to say, your photography trip sounds wonderful....A trip with a new camera in the mountains sounds like perfection to me.....

So maybe we'll need to meet up for a mini fill in session sometime when you return. (wink-wink) I think I could learn SO much from you!

  14. Your photos are gorgeous, but they always are. Good for you! There is a photographer and instructor in my area who I admire and follow, and he does week long photo trips to that area as well (and also other places). It just hasn't fit into my schedules yet. I hope you have a great experience and I can't wait to see your photos from the trip!
