Things that make me happy....
Barns close enough to the road that I don't even have to get out of my car to get a good shot. Hmm, sounds like there might be some laziness associated with this statement.
A field of poppies and larkspur....Mother Nature is awesome in her beauty.
A good ole run-down fence post wrapped in wire, supported by an old iron pipe and covered in green lichen.
Bailey's new haircut....she loves it and so do I!!
And Mac....you haven't seen him in awhile, he is a beauty and brings a lotta joy to my daughter and son-in-law.

PS...I am so far behind on commenting on your blog posts...forgive me, the garden has been calling my name all week. I promise I will catch up soon. Thanks.
Until next time.....
Love the barn and fence pictures - beautiful shots, Deanna :) Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
The field of poppies and larkspur stole my heart, love the vibrant colors. It's raining cats and dogs today, so your post made me happy too!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I would love a roadside barn as well. You can't very well walk on someone's property, so roadside is good! These are all wonderful shots!
ReplyDeleteDeanna, I look forward to seeing your photos and reading your words each day. This morning, I'm having tea with you before leaving on a hike. I hope I see some wildflowers as pretty as yours. That fence post is Wabi Sabi.
ReplyDeletehappy gardening!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to find all the barns that you do! Gorgeous images again!
ReplyDeleteGosh, Oh my Macs eyes are stunning...take you right in. Great images as always.
ReplyDeleteThings like the old barn, field of flowers, and the old fence post make me happy too. Your photos are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHappy gardening.
LOVE the fence in front of the barn!!!
ReplyDeleteThe poppies and larkspur....enticing!!! Do they grow wild there???? I want to move there if they do. That's just the prettiest color combination for nature to throw together! Love Mac....he looks like he would be the best friend ever!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for fences ... especially old, rotten, rusty, crusty fences! LOL
ReplyDeleteWell done!
Brilliant Deanna love the fence .....

ReplyDeleteYou have lots of beautiful things to feel happy about. Enjoy your gardening!
ReplyDeleteDeanna, I have been thinking of you and your barns and rural landscapes all week! My daughter is going to a horse camp this week at a beautiful stable and boarding/training facility. I'll post some photos eventually. I'm loving the drive every day.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous post Deanna! Love it all and keep on gardening! Beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteHey no need to apologize for being behind on visiting blogs. I'm sure there are many other (myself included) to have that happen from time to time.
ReplyDeleteLoved these gorgeous photos. That dog is so handsome. Bailey's hair cut is cute and what a lovely barn scene.
I laughed about the Invite to your back porch party. Sure wish we lived closer as I would love to meet you. I also was very touched by your blog post on your husband. My MIL has recently been diagnosed with Dementia (early stages) and last time hubby went to visit her I decided to stay home as I don't want my last memories of her to be ones where she doesn't know who I am or see her so forgetful as she was always such a bubbly person that it scares me to think of seeing otherwise (guilt, a little but I know that's something I will deal with in my own way) as you must in yours. Big Hugs & have a great weekend.
If it weren't for barns you can photograph without getting out of the car, I would almost never get any barn pictures. I love the mix of colors in your floral shot - love me some poppies and the blue eye - that Mac is one handsome dog. Bailey's smile is so warming. Yea, I can see why you are happy.
