Dear Week, you have been filled with emotions from feeling guilty, to feeling happy, to feeling sad, to feeling dog tired to feeling rested, to feeling sleepy, to feeling thankful. I guess that is why we are human and not robots, we have emotions and feelings and I think I have felt almost every emotion this past week, well maybe not frightened, unless you call that screech that I yelled when I stepped on the ant bed and stirred up that mountain of ants.
Dear Oh My God Are You Stupid or What?, when I sent my luncheon invite to my entire email contact list....all 262 of them. Many of my friends have enjoyed a great laugh out of this, glad I could bring some joy in their lives.
Dear Barns, Farms, and Fence Posts, I love driving in the country and spotting a new barn, a farm with freshly planted fields of corn, and great looking fences with "off the beaten path" character.
Dear Lillian, I went to your memorial service today. You led a wonderful life, filled with adventure. How many women do you know sky-dived at the ripe age of 79? Lillian was part of our Wednesday morning Bible Study and would continue to meet with us on Wednesday mornings at B&N in the summertime. She told me once that she didn't like women, but she liked us. In her 80's still driving and wearing short shorts, what a woman. You went out on your own terms by deciding that you did not want to live with the help of machines. I will miss you.
Dear I Did Something This Week That I Said I Wasn't Going To Do, I made a small "fairy garden". I said, no, no way, never and guess what? I folded and made a small one....very small. I told my friend Bonnie, as we oohed and awed over the small treasures, it's just like playing doll house...sometimes we just never grow up, still children at heart.
