This blogging world is simply a bosom-warming breath of happiness...when is the last time you've heard that term?...bosom-warming? But that is what it is, at least for me anyway. These past few weeks I have been honored with 3, yes 3 Liebster Awards, I feel so blessed to be thought of as a "favorite, beloved, dearest" because apparently that is what Liebster means in German. This beloved award is given to blogs with less than 200 followers. First, I want to thank my awarders (is that a word ?), Tammy from Lens and Pens, Betty from Artistic Expressions Photography and Andee at Match the Pictures. You all are just so lovely to think of me and to honor me with this award and for that I am grateful. Along with this award, I am asked to award 5 more blogs that are my favorite and deserving and also have less than 200 followers, with 3 awards that equals 15 blogs. Oh my, I don't think I could possibly come up with that many bloggers with that criteria. I was also very, very bad at chain letters, it would always stop with me. Right now the numbers say that I have 143 followers, many I don't know, many have never left a comment, some probably joined on a whim and have never returned, and it has always amazed me why anyone would want to "follow" my blog. I am just a woman that needed an outlet to share my thoughts and my photography. I admit I love comments and I admit that sometimes I am not very good at returning the favor, shame on me. But I am truly thankful to all of you that do follow, that do comment and that will forgive me if I don't return the comment.
And....this week I was also honored with a delightful gift from another blogger....Linda R at My Happy Place. She was giving away a sweet, sweet piece of her wonderful artwork by naming the delightful little mermaid featured on the front of the piece. My name was picked....hip hip hooray!! Not only did Linda send the sweet art piece but I also was surprised with a tin full of her favorite teas and another piece of her artwork, a lovely bookmark. As I said, this blog world is bosom-warming.
Thank you so much.
Yesterday morning, early Catherine and I headed to the Arboretum. I had not been there for awhile and was absolutely awestruck by the amount of peonies, columbines, poppies, delphiniums, iris's and roses that were in bloom. I took 336 pics in less than 2 hours, oh my click, click, click. I love my camera. My new header images were taken yesterday at the Arboretum, do you like them? Here are just a few more..... Linking up with Macro Monday
Again, thank you all for your sweet comments, your thoughtfulness on awarding me the Liebster Award, and the lovely gifts. I am truly blessed.
