It's Sunday

It's been a busy 3 days, movie and a dinner with friends on Friday...trip to Milwaukee to visit my grandson, Brandon and his sweet wife, Hilary yesterday, now today I am headed to the movies with another friend, this time to see Lincoln.  It is bound to win best actor and perhaps best picture, so figured I better go see this future winner before the big Academy Awards Day.  Today was supposed to be a "barn run" (travel around the countryside and snap pics of local barns) but the weather turned nasty with rain and that doesn't make the best venue for photography.

Participating in Ashley's Scavenger Hunt Sunday with the challenges being:
  • Small Things
  • Illustration
  • Valentine
  • Work of Art
  • Window Beauty
Yesterday, while visiting Brandon & Hilary, we stopped at an Anthropologie...oh, big mistake.  It has so many lovely, fun things to buy....ceramic berry boxes, egg cartons, cups, bowls, etc etc all in beautiful colors.  I am a sucker for all that.  This was one of the small things that I purchased....a small jar with a chalkboard label...now how fun is that??!!

My sweet sister-in-law just sent me this book, she loved it and thought I would l enjoy it too.  The illustrated cover is enough to draw you in, but the title is perfect.

Ahh.....I love receiving Valentine's and here's one for you.

I consider my grandson a work of art....not only is he a handsome young man but he happens to be a graphic art designer.

This simple park bench, sitting on top of a hill over-looking Lake Michigan with snow on the ground becomes a work of art.

While driving along the lakefront in Milwaukee there are many beautiful old homes...I was in awe of their architectural beauty.  This one in particular had such great window beauty.

Also participating in Madge's Weekly Top Shot and Rebecca's Simple Things Sunday....

Now, off to get dressed to go see that movie.  Have a great week ahead.

Until next time.....

  28. Deanna, You are alway on the move! I'm feeling lazy - it was so cold when we skied this AM, I spent the rest of the day by the fire. Your Valentine Card is so pretty. I love that old Victorian architecture, too - can you imagine what it costs to heat those mansions! Your Grandson is a hunk!
