Letters on Friday

Dear Weather....I think you have your months mix-upped.  This is March, not January or even February.  What's with the all the snow?  And there is even more predicted next week.  But you have eased our water shortage, for that I am grateful, thank you.

Dear Books, you always provide such entertainment and comfort.  We heard at our Book Group of  one of you entitled "Expecting Adam"...a story of a couples decision and journey to not abort a child after discovering, during pregnancy, that he has Downs Syndrome.  Books, you have a way of making us all feel good about tough life decisions.

Dear Self, because of your lack of shyness you had the most delightful encounter yesterday with a couple of cute girls, their grand-parents and a group of photography students.  Chatting about the area and how it has grown with the grand-parents and the benefits of taking a photography class at our local community college with the students.  Thank you self, for expanding my circles.

Dear Home Goods, you are such a fun store to discover more things that I definitely do not need, but can't resist.

Dear "Oz The Great and Powerful"...you were a fun movie, not an academy award winner by any stretch, but fun.  You gave me some insight into the "great and powerful Wizard of Oz." and after these insights, a reason to enjoy a delightful lunch with my girl-friends.

Dear Memories....continuing to remember the short but sweet weekend spent in Asheville, NC, and looking forward to my next trip.  (Linking to Friday Fences)

Dear Bean Soup, altho very delicious and the perfect meal for a cold winter's night, after eating it twice, twice it has left a most unpleasant event.  Enough said.

Please visit my collaborative blog, "Focusing On Life" where I am "picking" a word.....

And just found out that Nancy from A Rural Journal has a new meme that began today entitled Random 5 on Friday.  Well, I guess I could consider my letters rather random and they are about me...so linking.

"Embrace the unknown as an exciting adventure - a gift or a present being laid at your feet....waiting for you to open it.

Until next time.....

  12. I love your photos today, but I surely understand your yearning for a real spring. I wish we had gotten more "water" in any form over the winter...the drought is still here.

  13. I can't keep up with your books! I just ordered & received "8 girls Taking Pictures" & "Don't Let Me Go" & now you throw out another title. Good thing I know a librarian with a whole lot of books at her fingertips!
