Letters on Friday

Dear Tina Fey & Paul Rudd,  you disappointed me with your latest movie, "Admissions."  Wouldn't you  think that with a cast starring Tina & Paul and Lily Tomlin it would be one belly-laugh after another...not so, hardly a giggle, at least from me anyway.  Tina & Paul, what happened??  Better luck next time.

Dear Bunco Babes, you surprised me at my delightful "birthday dinner" on Monday night (I know the celebrations just continue, heh, I am not complaining).  No gifts is the rule, just cards....but you were so generous in presenting me with a sweet gift certificate to a spa.  And not just any spa, Coldwater Creek Spa.  Now the question becomes, do I decorate my nails from top to bottom, or do I have a 'oh rub harder' massage, or a 'make me look younger' facial...oh decisions.  Big thank you hugs your way, Babes.

Dear Barnes & Noble, thank you for being our place to gather when we have no Bible Study on a Wednesday morning.  You provide us with a spot to sit, warmth to drink and sweets to nibble while we discuss important events like Dorothy Hamil leaving Dancing With the Stars.

Dear Sun, you really are there.  I was beginning to wonder if you had decided to take an extended vacation, but you are back.  Yesterday was sunny, today is sunny, tomorrow is predicted to be sunny.... it's a record.

Dear Kohl's, thank you for being fully stocked with new spring goodies.  I spent way too much money, but I am going to be spiffy in my new duds when I go to Arizona next week.

Dear Trader Joe's, what can I say, ranunculus and blue hydrangeas all at the same time....be still my heart.

Dear Blogging Buds, have a blessed weekend and for those celebrating Easter, Happy Easter.

  4. ranunculus, you have ranunculus! I am so jealous. (funny, but it is more appealing to me than even the prospect of a spa). These are fabulous florals and a delightful Easter wish. Hope you have a most enjoyable Easter weekend.

...as for disappointment in actor combos - I am brought to mind of 'Spring Hopes' with Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones. The clips looked so cute, the subject had so much potential but ultimately the movie was nothing short of depressing. My husband and I looked at each other afterwards and contemplated watching the Disney channel just to lift our spirits. Now that is sad!

  15. Your photos are gorgeous. I knew I should have gone to Trader Joe's today! I shopped some today, too -- a nice new top from T.J. Maxx and a new Royal Albert teacup ... also a Maxx find. I shouldn't have done either. Ah, well. It's all the Easter Bunny's fault! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! Enjoy Arizona. Happy Spring and Happy Easter!

  23. That's sad that Lily Tomlin didn't save the movie. I wonder if the one with Bette Midler and Billy Crystal is funny....I might rent that one tonight when my granddaughters come stay with me while their parents go Easter shopping.

Love your "letters" format for Random Friday. Cute idea!
