Two Things

I have only two things today....

  • I cannot tell you how much all of your kind words, thoughts, prayers, encouragement and support you gave me on my last blog post helped my poor guilty soul.  I slept better last night than I have in ages...in fact I over-slept, totally missed my Wednesday morning coffee at B&N with my gal pals.  But really, everything that was said I know was said with love and compassion, and for that I am so very grateful.  It is truly amazing what this blog-land brings to me....friends I have never met, many that I will eventually, many that I never will...but you all make up pieces of my heart and soul.  I am truly blessed.
  • This morning in planning a lunch to welcome in summertime, I created an e-vite to send to friends....unfortunately while trying to update it to add a few more names to my list, I inadvertently sent the e-vite to EVERYONE on my e-mail list, all 262 contacts.  A profound apology to you all that received a back porch luncheon invite from me.  It would be wonderful if I could accommodate you all, but the back porch isn't quite big enough to hold all 262 of you.  For that I would need a banquet hall and the charm of lunch on the porch would be totally lost.  Again, apologies....I must be careful with that "send" button in the future.
"You can't be brave if you've only had wonderful things happen to you."  ~  Mary Tyler Moore

Until next time.....

  6. So glad you had a goodnight's sleep ... it's amazing how good you feel after one.
I so understand what you must be going through ... altho' my husband does not have Alzheimer's, he does have a chronic illness. So I completely understand the guilt and frustration that comes from living/caring/dealing with someone who is ill.

  7. Well poo- I was all set to visit with ya! LOL! I have done that too..once. It was a letter meant for a small group of people and instead I sent it to about 40. I'm very careful about that now.

  11. I just read your post from yesterday Deanna and all the comments. I don't know that I can offer anymore than what's already been said other than we all feel guilty sometimes because we think we haven't done enough for those we love. I'm going through that now thinking I should have done more for my mom.
Anyway I was looking forward to your porch party but of course I couldn't come.

  14. I'm glad you are feeling better and got a good night's sleep. I had to laugh at the email snafu--sounds like something I would do! Reminded me of the time I was planning a wedding shower for my niece. I got permission to hold it in her church. The minister misunderstood, and he announced the shower to the whole church congregation and invited them. Oh, my! I was sooooo worried about having enough food. But it all turned out OK. :-)
