Scavenger Hunt Sunday The Oct 23rd Edition

My brain is not working for me this week, really dragging here with the prompts.   I think it was all the wrong kinds of foods I ingested that did not feed the brain, only the poundage.  I tried, I really tried so this is what I came up with....

WORDS - This image makes me happy...love all the beautiful colors of fall and that cute little banner was free on Little Dreamer Designs.

UNDER - Toby loves to sit under the tree in the front yard, waiting for any squirrels to come his way. (he is hoping the leaves will add to his disguise)   He even has a leaf under his chin that has attached itself to his fur.

ORANGE - In the fall the crops turn this wonderful soft shade of orange & gold, also note the orange tone (I think it is commonly referred to as rust) of the roof on the barn.

ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE - I was able to capture the bight side of the moon, pretty science-fictional don't ya think??

FLY -  I think I could have used this for several of the prompts - orange, under - but I am sticking with FLY.  This beautiful butterfly kept flying around the mums just adding to their already over-the-top loveliness.

So there you have it....Scavenger Hunt Sunday a fun addition to my week.  Stop on over and check out the many more additions to this week's challenge.

Until next time......

An Ode to Orange

When else can we display orange at it's finest if not in Fall?  By definition Orange means the color of autumn, well doesn't it.  What other time of the year does orange become a focal point or a weekly theme or a favorite centerpiece or the color of leaves on trees or the hues in a new fall scarf or hat or the color of pies, when else I ask you?  So here is my ode to orange to celebrate that glorious fall color........

Orange cars....not particularly my favorite color for a car, but it sure is easy to spot.

This colorful lady was one of the street vendors in Santa Fe, NM - loved that hat and glasses....

That fall scarf I mentioned earlier....

Those silly salt & pepper shakers that only come out once a year.....

A few colorful flowers still around....not much longer I fear.

Look at that leaf, where else can you get such uncontested beauty??

And what other time of the year does orange candy fill the candy dishes waiting for a nibble here a nibble there.....

There is beauty in those pumpkin stems, some call it stem envy.

And the ever so popular pumpkin pie cheesecake.....oh yum!!

Orange pansies....love these beautiful flowers in fall & spring.  The perfect cool weather flower.  Sharing with......

And finally, my sweets, an orange rose, so delicate with an added Kim Klassen texture.

There are many, many, many more oranges, what can you add to the mix??
