I found myself in the front of an old Anglican church with an attached graveyard, but saw no tree that I thought would have been 1500 years old...altho there were plenty of trees, all with that wonderful Spanish Moss hanging from each limb, none looked to be that old. Another car pulled into the parking spot next to mine with a woman (Mom) and 2 young ladies (daughters) in tow. I asked them if they knew where the Angel Oak was...."Oh, just down that road, but don't go now, there are huge buses with hoards of people." OK, that gives me time to wander around the old graveyard and drool over the flowers that were coming into bloom.
Standing under the old live oaks there were hundreds of acorns and fallen leaves at my feet....and yes, I wore my Sketcher's Go Walks practically everyday. They sure were comfortable with all the walking I did in a week's time...
All kinds of growth happening on these branches....
And ofcourse there was a gift shop but the porch looks like it could use a little sprucing up for Spring....
I have many more adventures to share in the coming days....but if you want a preview, hop on over to my collaborative blog Focusing On Life where I have shared many of my Charleston images.
