Scavenger Hunt Sunday - The Oct 16th Edition

Aha....I am ready this week.  Still using many of my Colorado - Santa Fe, New Mexico shots, but they work so why the heck not.  I always find this challenge a lot of fun.  Sometimes I stretch the topic a bit, but that is part of the fun, to see how we all interpret the challenges.  I am not a straight and narrow path kinda gal, sometimes I fall off into the ditch, but heh, it is fun getting out of those ditches.  Life is not all black & white, there is so much color to be had.  So let's get to this week's challenges.....

ABSTRACT  This is about as abstract as I can get this week.  Beautiful columns and architecture from old Sante Fe.

ROUND - Many, many examples of round from the eye-glasses to the flute, to the badge on his jacket, to the watch and jewelry.  I think I covered round pretty well in one shot.  FYI - this is a street musician at the Promenade in Santa Fe.  Terrific music.

FIRE - Lit candles in the St. Francis of Assisi Basilica in Santa Fe.  Love how the shadows bounce off the wall.

SEEING FACES IN STRANGE PLACES - Now go with me here....can you see the etching of a cowboy on these rocks....the hat, the rifle in the left hand, the rope in the right, chaps on the each of the legs?  My brother and sister-in-law thought I was nuts but I do believe that this is a cowboy.  Actually this area was a great tourist stop for picture taking on the road to Santa Fe.  Surely there are more people than myself after taking this image, realize the image is definitely a cowboy.  Maybe this is one of those times I fell in the ditch and hit my head???!!!

STARS -  OK, back to the midwest.  Found this star on a fence in one of my photo runs through the countryside.  It was in one of my posts this week entitled "Fence Friday", just in case you wanted to see it twice.

That's it, that's all she wrote for this week's Scavenger Hunt Sunday.  Hop on over and see what others have posted, but I bet nobody has a cowboy like mine (you know it's a cowboy, right?) ....

Until next time.......

  6. Oh, oh, oh I agree with Kathy! I've been wanting to go west for photos...these are fabulous. Love the musician and abstract and I have a very similar photo I took in a mission in San Antonio of your fire one - shucks now seeing yours reminds me. And yes, before I read your faces one I totally saw the cowboy, and I haven't fallen in a ditch - now heat exhaustion is another story! ha
