Yep, I Was Right....

Well, as I predicted, yesterday was spent doing almost nothing.  I had my first nap on the porch, can't sleep in bed, but can fall asleep quite easily sitting straight up as long as it's on the porch.  Ran errands, had to get a new cap for my Tamron lens, the cleaning lady threw it away (it was on the floor in the bathroom, she thought it was trash)....now, you might wonder what the heck was my lens cap doing on the bathroom floor.  Simple, it was in my pocket, I tend to put it in my pocket while shooting, forgot to put it back on the lens, took my clothes off ready to go to bed and it fell on the floor.  Now the next question is, why didn't I pick it up?...simple, just didn't, enough said.

Also stopped by Home Goods (uh oh) looking for a new little lamp for the back porch.  No lamp, but you guessed it, more cups (oh what a sickness I have), a new little sign that really points its finger right at me, and new cushions for the adirondack chairs in the side yard.  I love that store.

Off to Ace Hardware to replace the handle that fell off of the outside water spigett.  I asked for help in locating it and the "nice" man told me I needed a plumber...no, I don't need a plumber I need a handle.  Oh he irritated me, demeaning, got real smart with me about how long, how short, is it frost proof, how far it was away from the water supply....etc.  I finally got it thru his feeble head that all I NEEDED was a handle, not the whole damn thing, sorry, he got me going with his "talking to the little woman" attitude.  And that's when I decided I needed a nap.

Mr. C has claimed this feeder as his own.  Love sitting on the porch and watching him.

The new cup along with a new matching pitcher that I use for a vase....filled with roses & peonies from the yard.  Ahh the aroma is heavenly....

Linking to Nancy's Sunday Best over at A Rural Journal...

And that word I mentioned earlier....must be a lot of us if they make a sign just for us.

You know I always have hoped that I will change, but it doesn't last, I am weak and know it.  Is there a 12 step process for Procrastinators?

Hope you have a lovely Saturday doing whatever you want to do....

Until next time....

  1. Oh, we don't have a Home Goods in the entire state of OK! I LOVE the polka dots. Men kind of talk down to "the little woman" don't they? Which is why I keep telling myself I need to learn more "manly" skills.

  3. Instead of cups, I've been collecting little vases and pitchers- and have absolutely no place to store them! Well, little lady, you did a fine job on your pics! The roses are gorgeous in that new pitcher.

I see myself in almost everyone of your posts...I need the Procrastinators 12-Step Program too!

  4. If there is a 12-step program for procrastinators they've probably postponed the meetings.

  8. Mr. C may not be a gentleman by claiming the feeder as its own.

  9. Piling, procrastinating, and collecting: yep there should be a 12-step program for each of them.

Hope you're feeling better soon. Dandy photos ~ I especially like the cardinal.
