I'm Crabby

OK, enough of this hot weather, enough I say.  You suppose that will work?  I don't think so seein's as the weathermen says it is supposed to hover around 100 until the weekend and then cool down to 90....90?? that ain't cool, in my estimation high 70's would be cool.  I guess it could be a lot worse.  I am sitting here in my nice air-conditioned home and there are those that have no electricity, and if they did, they may not even have air conditioning.  So Deanna, stop complaining.  But this heat has definitely put me in a crabby mood and I am not inspired at all.  It's pretty lame when the only thing I could come up with is this pic of the bird under glass for Kim's Texture Tuesday.  Actually, the bird is quite cute, and so is the little stand, but I am still not inspired.  I can't even come up with inspired writing...the bird under glass is all I can muster today.

And one more that I captured a couple of days ago when I wasn't so crabby....

But that's it....no more, I'm done.  Maybe I'll go shopping, suppose that would get me out of my crabbiness??

Until next time....

  1. Oh Deanna, I feel your pain....I have been having some crabby days too, I suppose hot flashes might be causing some of my crabiness, that and not much sleep lately! Go get an ice cream, or a coffee . . . or some flowers! Hope you have a better day. xo

  6. My boys are extra crabby when it is hot out. Which it is here. I am taking advantage of the heat (or being stuck inside) by working on my photography portfolio and sending files to the printers so I can see them huge on my walls. I might even go crazy and print myself a publisher book to add to my pile of coffee books, so my guests can take a look at my pictures that didn't make it on the wall :) Keep cool and keep posting. It is okay to complain about the heat.

  7. Would it make you crabbier if I told you I actually kind of like this weather? LOL. Now, if it was winter and snowing, that would make me crabby! Maybe you should go out for a little shopping and then meet a friend for dinner...maybe that would cheer you up :)

  8. You know, Deanna - I've had the same feeling: This weather has just taken something out of me. Until this afternoon, I hadn't taken a picture in three days, too danged hot!!! And that's exactly what I need - go shooting, get creative. Then ... hee-hee ... saw your comment on my FOL post, and said to myself,"Self, listen to Deanna. You need to take your own advice. Change your attitude. Put a smile on your face!" So I did those things, and I feel marginally better, shot a photo of a barn, haven't looked at it yet, it might be crap. But, I'm trying. And one of these days, it will have to cool down!!!

    Keep fannin'!

  9. LOL, you are crabby for the hot weather, I am super-crabby coz it's not hot enough for summer. ;) I'd love to exchange weather with you, even for just one day! :) We have never gone above 66°F this year... at least you can keep cool in the A/C! :) I am still wearing my sweater.

Your photos are both lovely, Deanna! Have a very happy 4th and enjoy shopping!

  14. Oh, yes, I highly recommend shopping! LOL Even though you are feeling crabby it's not translating in your beautiful photography. The heat's making me a little cranky as well, I admit. It'll be over soon. But not soon enough, huh? Have a great 4th!

  15. Both images are sweet and I enjoyed seeing them :) So sorry you are suffering with all the heat -- being up here in Alaska, my 'comfort zone" is between 60-63 degrees. I'd probably be crabbier than you are! Go shopping, but stay cool :)

  16. I know I'd b crabby. And as far as shopping goes? I'd have to computer shop because I wouldn't be caught getting in and out of my car! Love this little bird!!!! Happy 4th?

  17. The heat can be a real mood zapper. I just came in from doing horse chores and I barely made up the stairs...it's much too hot for my liking. 'Hope your day got brighter...shopping definitely helps!
