Treasure

After being so crabby this morning, I stepped back and realized that being crabby and posting about it is not something to be particularly proud about.  I have so many things to be grateful for and treasure that to be crabby is not an endearing quality.  I need to recognize the value of what really matters to me and treasure it.  I need to treasure my time and not kill it, which I have a tendency to do.  I need to treasure the friend who never judges me and carries me in her heart as she is in mine, no matter what I do or say.   I need to treasure every moment, and know that those moments can never be replicated.  I think of this daily and remember the moments that were so special between me and my sweetie.  I do treasure the sunshine, and when I am blinded by its heat and light, then I treasure the ever-so-faint breeze that blows gently on my cheek.

I look closely at the flowers in my garden and see them for the jewels they are.

I treasure my health. I treasure all the people in my life that offer me a spiritual lift and gently help me find my way when I wander.

My life is filled with treasures, there should be no room for crabbiness.  Treasure everything, and take nothing for granted.

Until next time......

  1. Sometimes you have to be crabby to be inspired :)

  2. Well, it happens to us all. Me in particular lately. Then I read a sad story like the woman who lost some of her limbs to a flesh-eating bacteria and think, "Gail, what do YOU have to complain about?" But we are all human and have our little pity parties and move on. Looks like it didn't take you long to get back on track. You haven't missed a beat with your photography.

  3. Well, you know we are all human and I know I have days like that. I remember feeling really crabby about being on crutches just to see a man who was in a wheel chair and could not walk at all. Sometimes it the very crabiness that makes us see....

  4. We all have days like that - and mega hot weather will do it to the best of us. When I'm feeling tired is a bad time for me (and anyone around me). But yes, counting your blessings is a good way to snap out of the gloms!

I do love that yellow flower pic, and the quote is wonderful.

  6. Thanks so much for sharing those wonderful treasures, Deanna! Nevertheless, I think it's absolutely ok to be crabby once in a while - maybe otherwise we wouldn't appreciate the treasures so much. Have a wonderful 4th of July!

  10. Being a little crabby at times just means you're human. I do love this post. Sometimes I feel I have no room to complain since my eye disease is almost gone...and yet I still have moments where I have to literally pick myself up and dust myself off just to face the day. It's a process...it's what makes the good days all the more wonderful. Beautiful photos...and I have to say. It took me awhile to get to your posts because I just gawked at your header for awhile. It's so darn pretty, it's mesmerizing.

  11. Deanna, we are all human and have those days. But you seem to be someone who really truly does relish each moment, and is grateful for every day. Crabby, not crabby, you're wonderful!
