I am going to focus on the good this next week...beginning right now....this past week focused too much on the bad. Today my good friend, Marti is hosting a brunch to raise money for the Purdue University Cancer Research that she is very involved in. Instead of running a 5K and asking everyone to donate, she opts to host a brunch where we enjoy eating while we donate. Yesterday I helped her in the preparing by creating spring on her tables. Again, Trader Joe's to the rescue with their abundance of beautiful tulips.
Marti cut out the butterflies and hung them from fishing wire from her chandelier....aren't they sweet?!
Decided to play again with Jill's "Creative License Friday". This week the original photo was taken by Gail Dixon, my blogging friend, from her blog "Louisiana Belle". Visit Gail, she takes the most amazing bird images...breath-taking.

It's 39 here in Denver. I'm hoping for a sunny day. We have the 4 Grands with us. Those tulips and Mati's butterflies remind me that spring is where we want it to be. Your photos of flowers have started my day off just right. Now must go feed the baby! Have a yummy brunch with friends!

ReplyDeleteLovely centerpieces and adorable butterfly decorations (boy, oh boy do I wish we had a Trader Joe's locally). Your edits on the flowers are wonderful and your 'positive' outlook philosophy sounds like a good plan.
ReplyDeleteA friend made a comment about the suspects yesterday that made me wonder if it could be the answer as to why these young men did what they did. It's interesting that their father is the only one of the family that is back in Chechnia now. Could he be the one who put his boys up to this? It certainly would make more sense of this senseless act and involvement. WIll be intersted in hearing more about the father. Always a pleasure coming and visiting here....your images are always stunning and your words and thoughts uplifting! Wonderful edits on Gail's image and thanks again for playing along!
