So I scrolled thru some of my pics from 2011, looking for old things, since 2011 is now an old thing, and found a couple of images from one of our barn runs. Wonder why I like old things??? Maybe it makes me feel younger....ha!! I stuck with the green theme throughout this tiny gallery, but used different textures from our generous Kim.
Please come visit Kim's place and have fun viewing all the other terrific pics using Kim's generosity. Happy Tuesday everyone!!
Until next time.......
That's sure a great barn pic, but my fave is the fence. Love the perspective and use of DOF....and the texture is to die for! Kim's textures sure enhanced each photo though you started with really great images from the beginning.
ReplyDeleteI picked your image to open immediately when looking at Kim's TT post. What a peaceful and beautiful image. I will be visiting often.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great eye you have Deanna! These are great. I love how barns in different areas of the country have their own personalities.
ReplyDeleteThese are really beautiful Deanna, great little pick me up today! I'm feeling in a funk and not sure how to pull myself out.....
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shades of green Deanna! I just love the barn! xo
ReplyDeletei once went on a barn run while visiting out east. I had a fabulous time, but didn't come across any barns as beautiful as the one you captured. the green fence is so lovely, you had some great photo ops last year : )
ReplyDeleteBeautiful edits, Deanna...that green barn is simply charming! I have missed reading the posts in your lovely blog. You do such beautiful, inspiring work. I have a book for you, it's one that you won 'way back when' in my September Challenge. Email me your info and I'll pop it in the mail (c.swen@yahoo.com). Thanks for your note...I'm so thrilled to hear that you'll be doing KK's new class, too. What fun that will be to do together!
ReplyDeleteOh! I just love these images! Beautiful photographs along with beautiful texture work! Green theme rocks! And so your photographs!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I've ever seen a barn this color OR this cute! Like the color of Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream.....DANG! I spent too much t ime on the treadmill this morning to even be THINKING about ice cream!

Dear Deanna,
ReplyDeleteI don't know where to start! Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog. I made a cup of coffee and have been visiting here for over an hour...I'm stopping here for today! Your work, especially with textures, is wonderful! So many times textures are over used...adding textures like you use them so enhances, not overwhelms the photos. I'm going to try your tutorial too. Your photos are so thoughtfully composed!
We are down in your neck of the woods frequently. My mom and mother in law are in Batavia, my sister in Wheaton, my son and his family in Glen Ellyn. (They were married at the Arboretum)
I'm sorry to read about your husbands health...how would we survive without God's promises? And yes, I too have been angry with Him, but I always come back with thanksgiving for what He has done for us! We live in Delafield, Wisconsin now but we are originally from Chicago. It's very pretty here...let me know if you are ever up this way!
Take care, I'm glad to have made a new acquaintance thru photography!
