Just a quick post to display our "homework" for the week over at Kim's Beyond Layers. This has been a fun class with all sorts of prompts and encouragement to uncover ourselves and unleash our creativity. I am lovin' it and if you are interested I think she just began round 2, same class, just starting later. Since I am scheduled to attend Camp Oasis in October I am one of the lucky ones that will meet Kim in person. Oh doggie, can hardly wait....my old Texas expressions are creeping back in since I spent a week there.
Our challenge this week was to take one photo and process it 3 different ways, using textures or not. So here is my line-up.....
Original SOOC - taken on the fence post in my front yard. I am sure he was enjoying the sunlight, look at the shadow.
I started playing around with this in Photoshop Elements, turned it, zoomed in for a close crop, removed color and this is what I came up with....
Then after all that playing, I played some more, changed to a b&w image, and added Scratch texture.
Back to color with Linen Look texture added, along with one of the brushes that Kim shared.
And finally, another texture, Simply Inspired.
I am not sure which one I like best....do you have a fav?
"The great lesson is that the sacred is in the ordinary, that it is to be found in one's daily life, in one's neighbors, friends and family, in one's backyard." ~ Abraham Maslow
Until next time.....
Oh, this is a tough choice Deanna, but I think I am going to go with the last one. All of them are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday to you!
All of them are very unique and bring a different tone. Very interesting how small changes make big ones.
