This is going to be short & sweet....I am home after a wonderful week in Galveston Bay, TX visiting my brother & sister-in-law. They have sold their home in Galveston Bay and will only be living there for less than 2 weeks before closing on the sale and heading back to Pagosa Springs, CO which will be their permanent and only home. Keeping two homes was getting to be too much work and cost, so after much deliberation, the decision was made to sell. And the good news is it sold for their asking price....hip hip hooray!! The buyers are getting a beautiful home, sits right on the canal, two blocks from the ocean, gorgeously furnished, sleeps up to 14 people, lovely landscaping, a dream. It would be difficult for me to leave a place that wonderful.
I have hundreds, yes, I said hundreds of pictures from my week spent there, which I will share over the next few days, but right now, only one. Yesterday it was rainy, cool & windy. Today it was the same, but as we drove closer to the airport which is in Houston, the clouds began to clear and the skies were blue again. Probably trying to convince me not to leave. As we drove past the beach one last time, I snapped this pic from the speeding car windows, surprised that it was not a big blur. The pier appears to be the gathering spot for pelicans. And I am thinking they knew I would be driving by, so they paused long enough for me to get one last glimpse. Textured with Kim Klassen's "love" for Texture Tuesday.
As I arrived home, sitting on my front porch, just waiting to greet me was this sweet little ranunculus, textured with Kim's "oh my"....
Hope you have a week as fine as mine. But, sometimes home is the best place to be.
See you over at Kim's for Texture Tuesday....
