Thank you Mr. Roget

Today we celebrate, jubilate, kick up your heels, fete, have a ball, and make merry Thesaurus Day.  Mr. Peter Roget, the original writer of the Thesaurus, was born in 1779 and I don't know about you, but I utilize, make use of, employ, benefit from this book and now an "on-line tool" more than any other book in my library, other than The Bible.  It has saved me from the mundane and enriched my vocabulary.  It has brought more vivid descriptions, enhanced my plethora of subjects, and spiced up my writing.  Speaking of which, I am beginning a new Adult Education Class tomorrow night entitled "Spice Up Your Writing".  I am excited, thrilled, worked up, fired up, and charged to begin.  So, thank you Mr. Peter Roget, you were one awesome, amazing, remarkable, astounding man.

Today we began a new Bible Study with our Women on Wednesday's group.  It is always grand to gather once again in faith and fellowship.  This year we have a new addition to our group.  One of our young mothers from our group gave birth to beautiful Isabella during our fall session and we had not had the pleasure of meeting her until today.  Of course my camera was in my bag and I was able to capture some sweet shots of Isabella.  She is a cutie patootie!!

And other shot of the tulips....you will probably see tulips here on a real regular (almost constantly) basis until the garden wakes up in the Spring.... several moons from now, I'm afraid.

And another image using the Velvet Truffle I talked about yesterday.  I am in love with this "effect". Thank you Rita from The Coffee Shop Blog

"Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment." ~ Benjamin Franklin

Until next time......

  3. Well, Isabella is a cutie patootie, isn't she?! Look at her pretty big eyes. I bought some tulips last week...my winter addiction to visiting the flower shop has begun. I selected a mix today, hopefully I can take some photos of them tomorrow :)
