Scavenger Hunt Sunday - The Feb 12, 2012 Edition

Good morning all you scavenger's...oh I mean fellow huntsmen....oh I mean fellow photographers...whew finally got that right.  We are off again on the hunt for Ashley's Scavenger Hunt Sunday. I had a little difficulty this week, I guess the brain has developed the February blaas.  Couldn't get inspired especially on a couple of these challenges.

This week our challengers are:
  • Facial Feature
  • Shadow
  • Spicy
  • Gold
  • Fabric
Facial Feature -  My grandson, Brandon...love him!!

Shadow - This was a challenge for me...I guess I am not a shadow person, will have to work on that.
Used a texture from Kim Klassen (Organic) on this image, gave it a little more oomph.

Spicy -  Did pull this from my archives...a spicy dip served at a recent Bunco gathering....always good eats at Bunco.

Gold - This seemed to be the most difficult for me...don't ask why, I have no idea.  But then I thought of my golden daffodils that I purchased at Trader Joe's.  They have certainly brought golden visions my way all week long.

And finally, Fabric.  Another challenge.  Again, why? when we are surrounded by fabric.  I don't know, maybe I was trying to be artistic, HA!!  Instead I went with an everyday fabric, kitchen towels.

Another challenge complete.  Stop by Ashley's for probably more interesting finds than mine this week.  And join us again next week for another hunt.

Until next time.....

  1. Oh, Deanna...did you have to include the spoon in the spicy dip photo? It tempts me to try to reach right in!!! Great photos as always...I love the shadow shot. I have a similar plate holder with red dishes.

  8. I like all your images, but that daffodil makes me long for spring. I can almost smell its fragrance!

  9. Deanna, I really like your whole set...but I'm going to just comment on your first photo, facial feature. Honest to goodness, perfection! The choice of b/w, the crop, the entire composition. LOVE IT!!!!!!

  16. You know, this was a bit difficult for me too - partly because I was so busy and didn't have time to think about any of them, and partly because I wasn't so inspired by a few of them. But I guess that is part of the challenge. I do love your entire set, love your first one-everything about it! And I really love your shadow one, it turned out great especially with the texture!!
